Someone mistyped the memo at WT HQ, apparently the only religion getting liquidated at the moment is the WT holdings in Russia. Boo hoo!

Closing! Total Liquidation.
by TheFadingAlbatros injw.org is delighted that soon various governments are going to strip "worldly" religions from their properties.
i hope that soon the time has come for the jw.org to be stripped out of its own properties.
100 % closing and total liquidation should be the share of every cult which is following the "shunning" policies.the caring parents who are now shunned by their own child(children) due to the fanatic and manipulated pressure of the now so called "princes" and "dukes" (wt elders) will 100 % agree.

I hate it when speakers make illustrations that have to do with "worldly" things and apply them like we should know what they mean to say.
If one was a truly loyal JW they'd have left off anything to do with sports, military, government & politics etc.
When they use such illustrations it makes it sound like the counsel to stay away from worldly pursuits just isn't frank, and they don't really expect JW's to "obey".
Either way they're a bunch of hypocrites.
Then again it could be aimed at seeming more "normal" and appealing to those who aren't fully indoctrinated.

Has Robert Ciranko replaced Don Adams as president of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania ?
by EdenOne inrobert ciranko has been a "helper" of the governing body in the writing department.. don adams (born 1925, presumably 91 years old now) has been president of the wtbts since 2000. .
however, in recent official posts (april 2016), robert ciranko is identified as "president of the watch tower".
does anybody know what happened and if this is an official change?.

That's an excellent catch! Good question, I just did some searching around and you're right, Ciranko is being touted as the President of the WT-Penn. corporation.
I'd say official corporation records with the State of Penn. would give us some insight as to whether there was a definite appointment and a changing of the guard sort of speak.
Good eye, EdenOne!

Can awake jw find a way of getting to know each other in real life
by Consciousguy inhi new to this forum but not so new to ttatt.
i was just wondering how nice it would be to know each other in real life.
i have got few friends in jw who are fully awake but still hanging because of family.

I thought this thread would be about coming up with some sort of secret handshakes to let each other know we were awakened to the WT's cultish crap doctrines.
My one connection with another awakened JW was through the anointedjw.org website which we now don't even think of going to due to their connection to the Urantia Book--Funny business there!
I've reached out to some at the KH who I thought would be open to some anti-witnessing but it backfires and I've been getting burnt everytime.

"Meetings, meetings....
by zeb in..bloody meetings" --dale carnegie.. i say this as my wife frequently returns from meetings in a bad mood and after any convention a worse than bad mood.. i detect the same in others postings.
whatever the wt is spewing out it is not honey but vinegar.
im going to bed with a book..

Zeb, you're right on. Same thing here.
At the meeting all smiles and niceties, when finally home the smile turns into a frown, like someone smelling rotten fart and if I mention something negative about the 0rganization, forget about it, the fault finding begins. It turns personal and I'm apostate sounding and will reap what I sow.
To the indoctrinated JW brain meetings must be like an addictive drug, first comes the high then the low--The WT's got a manic-depressive (bipolar) hold on the brain.

Reading over WT literature of years past can really get under my skin.
The obvious, in your face, claims of divine predilection and appointing while at the same time denouncing all other religious institutions with over-the-top, incendiary name calling, makes them sound like braggarts and narcissistic, egotistical, spoiled brats.
They presume to speak in God's name. They convince people to put full trust in what they preach. They make complete turn-arounds in doctrine whenever it suits their purposes. And they never admit to having been in the wrong. Sad little cloistered braggarts, much to be pitied were it not for their guilt in leading thousands upon thosands of lives to their physical detriment and their mental and emotional enslavement.
A pox on them, filthy lucre-loving, reprehensible cultish task-masters of the JW hierarchy.

Man I hate this F'ing cult!
by oppostate inthe nicest and kindest jw's seem to be the ones who are the least connected and active in the congregation.. i've been trying to fade and been missing quite a few meetings.. of course my wife still loyal as ever if not more so since i've awoken to ttatt.. every mid-week and sunday meeting i miss she gives me the silent treatment.. she's become more and more friendly with a regular pioneer younger than she is and wife of an elder, this to the letting go of regular contact with best friends in the 0rganization, whom she was closest to but were and aren't as active and regular at meetings and field service.. it's a crying shame, i'm closer and kinder to her old friends, keeping in touch through facebook posts now and then, encouraging them through the hardships, rejoicing with them during happy moments, graduations, welcoming a new child to the world, marriages, new jobs and what-not.. she has become a serious shunner, staying away from a lot of folks we were close to because they're not good association.. she's drunk the whole cup of kool-aid and anything i say that's remotely negative towards the 0rganization is met with stern retorts and accusations i'm apostate sounding.. and yet, she's still the kind hearted, loving person she used to be.
it's like she has a wt hat she dons and it changes her mind, her outlook, her behavior.
when dealing with neighbors, with people outside the kh, she's as nice as could be and i know this kind-heartedness is genuine--but it's been hi-jacked by this f'ing cult.

They're controlling her nice qualities and using them as a tool to attract those outside and to castigate those not towing the line inside the cult by having her hold back her natural love and kindness from the less active ones.
But these not so active, not so indoctrinated folks are the ones who are the most human and real. These are the ones who aren't good enough for the 0rganization! What a perversion of a religion!
Man I hate this F'ing cult!

Convention Videos: Someone messed up royally
by ILoveTTATT2 in.
when i first saw the video, i was like, "wait... is that her... panties showing through the dress"?and it seems like it is so.turns out that if you look at the middle right of the video, there are some letters.
it reads, "footage provided by pond5".if someone wants to purchase that video to confirm, you can purchase it here:http://depositphotos.com/63621499/stock-video-violinist-girl-walking-through-a.htmli think that this was a royal mess up because i doubt they would put footage of a sister in a skimpy, revealing dress.doesn't the gb approve this?this will probably go down as another of the "subliminal images"...if there are thongs in paradise... might not be so bad after all!.

@ILoveTTATT2
Good eye! And yes there's some panty-ness showing through in my estimation.
And the WT used a look alike dressed in a similar dress with similar hair style standing in a field of similar coloration just to match the stock footage they purchased for their video.
Some WT video shop tech probably thought he made out finding the footage. It must have been worth the three seconds in time and filming budget, I guess.
You know, I doubt the GB even knows that they used stock footage on this climaxing video of the Convention.
