Facial hair on JW men is suspect, and has been looked down on since Joe Rutherford held the WTS presidency.

Much depends on who you are and where you live, and whether you can come up with some medical excuse for not shaving. As a JW, you would always be a bit guarded and distrustful of anyone with facial hair who goes to the KH.

Facial hair breaks the spell that keeps JWs as subserviently immature drones suppressed through hierarchical domination.

Amended to add that this was a very Roman Catholic clerical custom.

i am writing the post i have wanted to write for some time.

it's a heartfelt note to those still attending meetings, still caught between the lines of watchtower and the world.

those with kids or a spouse in the society..... despite being mentally out....those who have weighed up that there is too much to lose in leaving.

Okay, well, your story started really interesting and then it went on and on and I must confess, I didn't read 2/3 of the thing. Your writing style is very much like a stream of consciousness piece.

My suggestion, say what you need to say in fewer words in future posts. Otherwise you run the chance that folks aren't going to invest the time to read everything you thought you'd say for their benefit.

i feel sad for those who stay just to please the family.

Just reflecting on how oblivious I was to WT

i’m just sitting by the beach and i was thinking at just how oblivious i was to the religion that i followed.

i have mentioned this in past posts and am using this experience as an example not so much to demonstrate what happened but more of my reaction to it:.

there was a kh in my local area that 5 years previous had internal renovations done it.

For those Genuinely Concerned about Press Freedom

our illustrious leader, justin trudeau, has just announced a half a $billion fund that will be given out to "trustworthy" news sources.. of course this will have nothing todo with the fact that there will be a federal election next year and there are plenty of bad things to highlight in the liberals record.

they will obviously dole the money out in a totally impartial manner, even handing funding to reporters that are critical of them and trudeau.

"trustworthy" news sources won't just be a euphemism for "writes positive stories about me, avoids negative ones".

Public support for a free press is not tyranny.

And when Trumpolini called on Acosta he involved him in a give and take exchange. Reporters who are called on get a chance to follow up, Trump does not follow these protocols. Our Nazionalist President threw protocol aside and when you do that you should of complain about impertinent reporters asking pointed questions.

i just overheard an anointed acquaintance on the phone with a friend of hers who has just had surgery for cervical cancer.

among the snippets of dialogue i heard on my end of the line, these ones stood out:.

It goes to show just how guilty the leadership of the WT is.

The one's claiming anointing aren't even part of this leadership and if they were they would come up with different expectations for the sheep. The GB wanted all the leadership for themselves claiming to the the FDS so that there wouldn't be any question about whose opinion counts as "doctrine". In this they are admitting that they alone are responsible for the death and suffering their rules and regulations have caused--Bunch of filthy lucre loving hypocrites that they are!
