Yes, but people generally don't look to manufacturers for religious truth or directions on how to live so that you and your loved ones will be spared a violent death at Armageddon. So far as I know, companies like Sony, General Motors and Craftsman don't claim to be spokesmen for God.

There will be a lot more DFed in the not-too-distant future, trust me. The WT/GB are losing their control on the flock and are tightening their grip. More and more damning information exposing them for the dishonest hypocrites they are is coming to light all the time.
Whatever sin you feel you've committed, God and Christ will forgive you if you're repentant - and, hell, even if you're NOT repentant. It's what they do. Look to them for forgiveness and salvation, not deluded power-mongering psychos in New York.

If the WT doesn't want the R&F to discuss it, why bother going to the trouble of writing and publishing it at all? Why not just ignore it and let the whole thing silently fade into obscurity like it has been for the past several years? Why not let it stay there under the rug instead of taking it out and dusting the damn thing off again?
Again... qui bono?
The Governing Body? Subversives at Bethel? Who?

another sad blood story
by Found Sheep inso i had a patient this week that needed blood.
as i always do i give the signs of a rejection and pros and cons... she said of course i'll have one since i need it... i just don't understand people that don't!!!
and they would rather die.

You have every right to be upset. Even if the blood ban WAS Scriptural (and it isn't and the WT knows it), surely a loving God would make exceptions to the rule if someone's life was at stake - especially a child who has no capacity to comprehend such issues! Jesus made it abundantly clear countless times that love and compassion were more important than legalism. Jesus said that even the Pharisees would be willing to remove an animal trapped in a pit on the Sabbath - how much more so would they do so for their own children? But alas, the WT are exponentially more Pharisaical than the Pharisees could ever aspire to be.

I believe there was a certain National Socialist Party leader who also wanted to cut off the "mentally diseased" as well as... wait a minute... GASP! Jehovah's Witnesses!

If the WT starts to put increasing pressure on Dubs in good standing to avoid all contact with us, I say bring it on. Seriously, let them shun us poor souls who have suffered from genuine mental illness (which in many cases was either exacerbated or even caused by the Org in the first place). Enough huffing and puffing from The Big Bad GB. I've been preparing my heart, mind, and soul for this sort of thing for a long time. Maybe it will finally wake up our friends and family on the inside to how nasty, cold, heartless, and flat-out unchristian this organization can truly be.

They're reverting to Fred Franz-esque "Great Apostasy"-era ad hominems again. I believe the very term "mentally diseased" was quoted by Ray in COC. So sad. The desperation is becoming increasingly palpable.
The WT has also implied that the "anointed" are possible, if not likely, candidates for mental illness as well. Do the two go hand-in-hand? If so, doesn't that imply that the entire GB could potentially be mentally diseased apostates as well?

Crisis of Conscience - The Movie
by cedars ini know... how cool would that be??!.
having just commented on the post by trailerfitter about the situation with his wife, and how i have personally found the book crisis of conscience by ray franz to be the perfect antidote to the society's perception of itself as being god's earthly organisation, the thought occurred to me: what if there was a movie about ray franz and his life?
obviously the society would be in uproar, and letters would be read out to all congregations all over the world not to go and see it, but just imagine!

Ian "Emperor Palpatine" McDiarmid for elderly Fred "Emperor Dub" Franz.
I've expressed before my desire to see a film based on "Judging Jehovah's Witnesses". Would be great for folks both on the inside and on the outside.
