310Mill Hill Disfellowshippings
by BorgHater ina few months ago there was a thread about a couple of elders at the mill hill bethel being disfellowshipped because they disagreed with some wt doctrine (i can't recall exactly what it was) and that several other betheliteswere under 'investigation'.
i haven't heard anything since, does anyone know anything more about this?.

Jesus' being hung on a "stake" vs. a "cross" are one of the KEY TEACHINGS of the WT which they claim sets them apart from False Christianity. If being a True Christian is dependent on these sort of details, and you're gonna shun people based on hairsplitting, prepare to have your hairs split.

According to the WT/GB/.F&DS, Jehovah, the Almighty God of the universe, speaks through them and ONLY them.
According to those same men, once a person is no longer a JW, they are directly under Satan's control.
BUT, if that IS in fact true...
WHY is it that Witnesses, who have the ALMIGHTY GOD OF THE UNIVERSE (vis a vis WT) behind them, are UTTERLY POWERLESS in the face of even the most simple challenge to their faith from XJWs, who are backed by Satan?
Why is the only response from Jehovah's SOLE representative on earth against these challenges, "Don't look, don't listen, don't touch", instead of providing them with spiritual ammunition, i.e. logic and reason, against these challenges?
Why is Jehovah so utterly impotent against damaged little XJW maggots?
Simple.
If the WT is true, and all the above are true by implication, then we must be forced to come to one inescapable conclusion...
Satan is apparently more powerful - FAR more powerful - than Jehovah.
Therefore, logic must follow that Satan, being the more powerful entity, MUST be God, not Jehovah.
That is... IF JWs have the truth...
But that's not MY Jehovah.
MY Jehovah has the answers to anything... ANYTHING... Satan could possibly throw at me.
And it is for that reason that I can confidently state...
JWs DO NOT have the truth.

Why Jehovah's Witnesses Are Discouraged From Using the Internet
by AllTimeJeff inat a recent series of circuit assemblies, the governing body put out warnings on what in their view is the latest danger from satan, designed to break the faith of jehovah's witnesses everywhere.. facebook.. yes, thats right, apparantly, the gb is concerned because a lot of people are having "facebook sex".
they are meeting old friends who aren't jehovah's witnesses and getting it on with whomever would willingly sleep with them.
evidentally, the gb would like their flock to believe that when jw's get on facebook and other social networking sites, fornication happens.. now, this is news.

Has the WTS removed the 'offending' publications? Or just retired them due to time?
by AK - Jeff ini seem to recall the earlier versions of watchtower cd-rom containing books from the 50's and 60's [life everlasting in the freedom of the son's of god - babylon the great has fallen - etc].
i have no cd predating 2001 now in my possession - and looked at that one today doing research, finding that virtually nothing pre-1970 is there [except the revised/altered 'truth' book].. is my memory faulty on this?
could it be that they just 'retired' the older pubs innocently?

"Disk space" has nothing to do with it. One of the biggest "red flags" for me was discovering around 2004 that the info on the Library CD only took up about 300 MB or so. Your standard CD has around 600-700 megs available.
Besides, if they wanted us to get ahold of their older material, they could always put everything on a DVD. Plenty of space for all of the text of all their publications, with room to spare for pretty pictures.

To dubs and lurkers. The real truth about "apostates."
by parakeet inwe "apostates" here often wax eloquent about what baaaaadddddd people we are, mostly, i think, to shock the dubs that naively come here expecting to hear whitewashed dubspeak.
i admit, it's fun to bait dubbies from time to time with (mostly fictional) tales about debauchery and mayhem.. but maybe it's time for a reality check to let lurkers and dubs see what we have actually accomplished with our lives since leaving the wts and dubdom.
it would be good for them to see that we don't automatically turn into crackhead satan-worshippers who shoot dogs and spit on the pavement.. it's time to shine, fellow apostates!

The truth about "apostates" is: That's exactly what the GB are - by their own definition.
When we point out their deliberate misrepresentation of past teachings, we're actually being MORE loyal to the original teachers, and therefore LESS apostate than the ones who would label us "apostate".
"Apostasy" does not mean "abandoning your God, values, or morality". It literally means "a standing away". That's it. Standing away from something you once held to, good, bad, or indifferent.
How far are the current leaders of the WT "standing away" from its original teachings?

If they drop 1914, then they must throw out the Revelation book, pretty much EVERY prophetic book and it's answers and redo all of it. At which case, it then means that they never had anything, atleast since Russell, which was beyond state the obvious."

Mere Children who are Disfellowshipped

the mind goes wild at what a 12-year-old should ever be disfellowshipped for.
how would a kid be so unrepentant they would deserve losing their family and friends?

It ain't hard to see why Witness kids are being pressured more and more at younger and younger ages. Pretty soon dubs reproducing themselves will be the only significant source of growth in the org (if it isn't already).
