Words that irritate

i have words that irritate me and not always without reason.. my latest hate is the word: 'solutions' as used by so many businesses in their title these days.

y'know, 'something innane business solutions' and such balderdash.. i loathe that word now.

arrrrggghhhhhh!

Maybe it's because I'm fluent in French but when someone ways 'walla' instead of 'voila', I kind of die a little inside. One phrase that gets bandied around my workplace is 'sense of urgency' which has lost all meaning and makes me nuts. Also, when people say 'literally' when they mean 'figuratively'. Oh really? Your eyes literally popped out of your head? That must have been excruciating!

Wow...they're not even trying to hide the the fact that they're just all about the money. From the assembly extortion to the ATM's and now online straight to the golden calf. Good grief.

Eventually they're going to have to shed 607 as a starting point, which means 1914 will have to go as well. I doubt this would happen in a meeting like this one, but it will happen within the next couple of years. Then of course, they'll pretend that 1914 was never an important date to them and it was completely misunderstood by the r&f lol.

the answer to this question is not that easy or obvious as you might think.

if your answer is "creationists" you are wrong, they are evolutionists a rare breed of evolutionists, but evolutionists at last .. at this stage of my argumentation you might think i have lost my mind for stating jehovahs witnesses are evolutionists, but this might be because you are thinking as the wt has taught you to think.

the wt has presented a distorted view of the theory of evolution.

If you have been inactive for over a year can you get disfellowshipped?

i've read conflicting things so was hoping to get this clarified.. .

I had been inactive for over a year in a different city where pretty much nobody knew me, certainly nobody identified me as a JW, and they came after me - I sat through a JC with 3 men I had never met before (technically I had met one of them once when I first moved out here but that was it). It took them an hour and a half with someone they didn't know to decide I needed to go, then I appealed based on my inactivity for over a year and the elders' complete lack of interest in me until they heard a rumor from back home. So a second JC with 3 more men I had never met before and that didn't go very well.

Based on my experience, if somebody wants you out, they'll get you OUT. Had I known then what I know now, I would have refused the JC but I was still mentally trapped at the time and thought I had to go.

So if you took your kids trick or treating, I would be surprised if your JW husband wasn't on the phone with the elders while you were out.
