Personally, I find all of this stuff extremely fascinating. I haven't had a chance to read the links or watch the video yet but I will.

Numerology is present everywhere in the Bible.
Just look how often the numbers 7,12 and 40 appear. The Bible is obsessed with numbers. How many major items in christian religion involve a number.
All importanting group counts or representations are always 12.
Look at the contrived nonsense that the Bible presents to keep the tribes of Israel at 12. There are countless scriptures that give different names for the tribes but they always agree on 12.
Careful there, you'll get Sab all hot n bothered.

Something I never realized or thought of before: Discreet vs Discrete
by poopsiecakes inso my whole life i heard the phrase 'faithful and discrete slave' and never paid attention to the real meaning of "discrete".
which is weird, because i'm a bit of a word junkie.
i guess the familiarity of the expression made me mentally gloss over it somehow.

Actually "discrete" would be a more appropriate word to describe the GB since they've separated and elevated themselves above the R&F. They really aren't "discreet" at all.
Well hell, ain't this the truth.
Thanks everyone, for not making too much fun of me. It must have been awfully tempting.
And thanks for the hug, Tec. I kinda needed that! :)

What Christian demoninations support connecting the Bible to Numerology? I really don't know, but there can't be many.
There's the OBVES one...
I had a thread going about the Pagan Christ documentary a while back...

So my whole life I heard the phrase 'faithful and discrete slave' and never paid attention to the real meaning of "discrete". Which is weird, because I'm a bit of a word junkie. I guess the familiarity of the expression made me mentally gloss over it somehow. *facepalm*
discreet adj. Showing discernment or judgement in the guidance of one’s own speech and action; judicious, prudent, circumspect, cautious; often esp. that can be silent when speech would be inconvenient.
discrete adj. Separate, detached from others, individually distinct. Opposed to continuous.
http://www.dailywritingtips.com/the-difference-between-discreet-and-discrete/
So where this online dictionary says 'opposed to continuous', another one says 'consisting of disctinct or unconnected elements; noncontinuous'.
Had I realized the distinction between the two words before, I think I would have wondered why the 'slave class' is noncontinuous and unconnected as opposed to being prudent and cautious - which was what I thought the 'slave class' was supposed to be.Does anyone else think this is weird or is it just me?
