In the past there was always one congregation that called the shots and picked the best meeting times. I was in 2 congregations that were stuck with the afternoon meetings on Sunday for decades because the other congregation preferred morning meetings and wouldn't swap. When the rotation came it was really nice to get morning meetings on a Sunday on either a bi annual basis or for 2 years.
At the time you work with it because you are encouraged to be faithful and obedient and even though part of you thinks something is awkward or unreasonable you still do it. I found that when I had children I found some of the selfishness trying especially as it was my children who were affected.
