That video really pissed me off. That thing needs to be saved forever, he pretty much states the overlap, which includes current GB members will not die before the end. Who is the youngest GB right now? Of course they are probably going to add a few more shortly to replace Teddy...

Have you ever went over a friends house to eat
by gubberningbody inand the food just aint no good, i mean the macaroni's soggy the peas are mushed and the chicken tastes like wood?
so you try to play it off like you think you can by sayin that youre full and then your friend says momma he's just being polite he aint finished uh uh that's bull.
so your heart starts pumping and you think of a lie and you say that you already ate and your friend says man there's plenty of food so you pile some more on your plate.

they look like elders.....although the quality of their suits is much better than the typical elder. That alone makes me question whether they were really elders.
Were they removed for associating with scantily clad women half their age?

I try to think of how I used to "think" when still in. Of course I didnt think I was a moron, but I was mind controlled. I was taught that the cult had "special information" and "holy spirit" and that nobody else did. Those are the major selling points of cults according to Steve Hassan. When a mind is under control like that there really is no amount of factual information that can overcome the programming already instilled.
It takes an event or just a good reason for the person under mind control to investigate the alternative. Maybe some mistreatment by the cult or one of its members will open the door just a crack for other information to seep in.
Of course the social structure of the cult also makes it difficult if not impossible for most to even consider they are wrong. Its one thing to admit that you were wrong, but everyone else too, all my friends and family can't be wrong. So the thought process is shut down before it even develops. And if it does progress beyond that it is shut down by the threat of shunning. It truly takes a free thinker to overcome a cult, and much of society would rather be told what to do.

Did you really pay attention at conventions or assemblies?
by donny ina co-worker of mine whose family (2 daughters, wife) are jw's related a funny story yesterday.
his wife and daughters missed the friday portion of the convention last week in order to attend a wedding of a worldly relative.
at dinner she mentioned to him that she would go to the convention this friday to make up for the one she missed.. he then asked why and she said so she could get the information she missed.

People watching held my interest for a bit, maybe the morning session Friday. The afternoons were brutal for trying to stay awake.
I always played a mental game at each song with how much of it was over. Example: friday lunch = 1/6th over. Saturday end of day = 2/3rds over. Says a lot about the content when you are counting down until you are released....

Service is mathematically and logically pointless.
by confliction inso, i was thinking today about the point of service, other than the proclamations the king and his kingdom (bs :p ) and i kind of had an epiphany... but i'm sure somebody has already thought of this.
first, for people who never hear the 'truth', or never come to a true accurate understanding of it, they will most likely have odds in favor of them surviving into the paradise earth to get a second chance.
let's say the odds are 99% survival.. .

On your first point, all according to WT theology, all are marked for death at Armageddon unless they are JW. You might hear some say "Oh god will read hearts" talking about the billions of Chinese or Indians, but I do not believe that is actually in print anywhere from the WTBTS. They are technically good as dead if the big A comes.
Some have commented it would be better to shoot the householder when they open the door. That way they get an automatic ticket to the new system rather than being killed at armageddon...
