  i have been reading this forum for umpteen years and have heard of so many ways that the watchtower is making money.. .

  would you mind contributing to help me compile a list?.

  Suggested 'donations' built into every assembly. How else would a one day assembly in a free and clear assembly hall cost $10,000?

  The hotels on the convention list either kick back cash or rooms for the head honchos.

  Already mentioned, but the real estate decisions that will be made in the next two decades will tell us exactly what all of this monkey business is about with forced monthy contributions. Lets see if they really reinvest in their properties of if they sell out the profitable halls from under the publishers and start cramming four, five, six congos into a building.

  Handing in '' Field Service Report '' even if you're very ill.

  my mom has not been to any meetings or participated in field service since august 2013. she cannot walk due to all her medical conditions.

  she is either in bed or sitting in a wheel chair.. our family hired a caretaker monday - friday to help her eat, take her to the bathroom and sit with her in case she needs anything.

  in the evenings and weekends, we have family members take care of her.

  we had our co visit and on his second talk he mentioned we need to be a pillar and support of the truth.

  we can do this by accepting and working with all the changes, refinements and the speed of jehovahs organisation moving forward.. he listed the refinements and changes that occurred in the last couple of years:.

  1- study edition of wt - allows the society to use more meaty articles and not worry about non jws understanding them.. 2- public edition of wt and awake.

  I think they really pooped their pants about 2014 about two years ago. They decided to change a bunch off stuff simply to look busy and keep the troops wondering what's next.

  These US internationals are a stroke of genius as well. JWs foaming at the mouth over it on social media.

  Glad you are amused by it all. Get ready though, next you will start to realize there is no way in hell that you can tolerate this stuff for 20, 30, 40 years or however many years you have left on this earth. That is what forced me out for good.

  Heads Up: If you are an older JW, WT has no further use for you!

  wt is retiring district overseers, has sent older jws serving at bethel packing despite years of faithful service, and as of june 1, 2014, has announced that any elder that has reached 80 years of age is no longer valued or wanted as a cobe.

  in wt land it would appear that older people have little or no value, and wt sees no reason to use them in any meaningful capacity.

  i wonder how this makes older ones feel after devoting their lives to wt's interests while shelving their own hopes and dreams?.

  I know there have been rumors about the WT using an outside marketing consultant, I wonder if they are true.

  A lot of these changes may be in response to a firm looking at them and saying "you are too old, young people do not like this"

  it's not like i wasn't warned.

  there was a thread that talked about the push to call on inactive ones.. thanks to the heads up here, i knew the motive for the call.. i don't think i even know that eld.

  If they do get a hold of you act really pissed about the call at work. Tell them your employer doesn't allow you to conduct personal business at work and it really was out of bounds for him to do that!
