  DFing is a life sentence, no matter the crime.

  Sure you may get a few crumbs thrown your way by those who are willing to break Mama's rules now and then, but the WT does not lift any DFing without groveling at the feet of the local elduhs.

  after all the atheist believes there is no god .so if that's the case then an atheist if a person of faith.

  the new exjw stars of youtube... discuss

  since the creation of a few youtube channels i spend enormous amounts of time watching them.

  they have basically replaced my activity on jwn and watching kelly and michael in the morning.

  there are quite a few issues and implications that result from this trend.

  Haven't really gotten into them much. Some of them are sooooo long and drawn out.

  I like Ray publishers stuff, Apostachick is pretty good but I hate all the edits in her videos. Who else do you recommend?

  Atlanta Int Convention 2014:The Big Party. Does this look like WT believes Armageddon is coming "soon"?

  To add to ADCMS post above, look at how many conventions are over the 4th of July. I was looked at the dates a few weeks ago and literally 15 conventions are scheduled that weekend as the 4th falls on a Friday this year. I'm sure the reason is rock bottom rents available as no other group is going to schedule an event over that weekend.

  The Watchtower, absolutely screwing JWs at every turn possible.

  the other night, the elder was getting us ready for our convention.

  as i sat there, i was thinking, 'do you even listen to yourself?

  ' everything thing he said, said its going to suck.. bring a hat: its going to be sunny, prepared to get sunburned.. bring plenty of water: its going to be hot and sweaty.. parking is going to be bad: prepare to walk a mile to the site.. bring a fm radio: its going to be echoy inside.. .

  No they don't listen to themselves.

  The conversations only make sense when they are surrounded by people who say the same things day in and day out.

  To an outsider, they look like total idiots.

  looks like there is a "hospitality committee" that has been desgnated to "sell" the convention city for each place an international convention is being held.. other posts on this site have displayed the websites for detroit & atlanta, this one is for new orleans.. .

  if i remember right(unlikely, lol) it was a one-page article about the tetragrammaton which concluded by saying that even though "jehovah" was 'probably' not an accurate pronunciation, it is a widely-recognized and accepted english transliteration of the divine name.

  i was thinking it was on the last page or maybe the back cover of a wt pub - maybe a watchtower.. can someone please direct me to the publication it was in?

  i read it when i was still 'in' and it made me stop and think about how much emphasis the wt puts on that name, all while knowing it's not the name.

  The absurdity is in the absolute insistence in using the name, despite evidence to the contrary. Its like it is their 'lucky charm'.

  If the Hebrew desert God is up there, he'd undoubtedly be ignoring the nincompoops who continue to insist on calling him by the wrong name.
