Obedience is conditional!

i was just pondering on this matter.

jws pride themselves on being loyal and obedient to the gb "even when it makes no sense from a human standpoint".

what they fail to realize is that obedience is conditional.

The Kings in Israeal point was one I brought up to my JW father years ago, I basically made the point that the GB had usurped the position reserved for Jesus.

It didn't go well. The GB/Organization/jw.org is their golden calf.

The few i had dealings with years ago just wanted to go to sleep and wake up in the paradise.

What would it matter at that age? Personally I'd just want the pain and suffering to go away, not have to live throught the so-called Great Tribulation.

A few questions for believers

when confronted with all of the inconsistencies and atrocities of the bible, many believers invariably claim that they don't base their faith in christ on what's written in the bible.

so what is the basis then, if not scripture?.

and please don't tell me "the lord has revealed himself to me".

When God did command for some people to be killed, it was for justice purpose.

Like all of the children killed at Noah's flood? Or the kids killed by the bear for making fun of a bald guy? Yeah, thats Godlike justice for you.

Or how about all of the women and children killed in Numbers 31? Simply because not enough of them were killed before capture?

Not buying it.

The writing style of the letters to these clowns is all same. Its simply a way to recruit people out of the WT cult into their own little version of Christianity.

this is a cut and paste for australia's canberra times, my only comment is to remark on the ordinariness of his rise from a chinese perspective.. i could likely post a thousand stories of people like jack ma, growing up in relative poverty, and now- through hard work and an eye for an opportunity- extremely rich.

ma's story is the story of nearly all of them.
