TV.JW.ORG (September 2015) - Generation explained again
by Designer Stubble inguess the overlapping generation concept is difficult for most to comprehend.
david spane does his best to explain it again.
the cutoff date for this generation has now moved to 1992 (was once 1935), the year that fred franz died.

Bald Eagle makes a good point above, which is basically you cannot run an end-times doomsday cult without ratcheting up the pressure to make them think it really is the very, very, very end.
They used "this generation" tied along back to 1914, and added the cherry on top of 1975 to grow their membership from zero to several million. But once the jig was up in 95 they lost all urgency.
They drug that corpse out of the grave and came up with this overlapping bullshit five years ago, and everyone just shrugged their shoulders. Well the smart ones left. Now they are doubling down like idiots spouting this bullshit publicly. I predict we see plenty of new apostates here in the months ahead after watching this airplane crash.

Solomon's Temple construction, things you realize when no longer asleep.
by Crazyguy inok so in 1kings chapters 5-6 is where we have the story of the construction of solomon's most holy temple to god, the supreme god.
it says that to build this magnificent temple they used 30,000 men, 10,000 per month.
another 70,000 common laborers in the hills digging up stone and 80,000 stone cutting laborers.

They've Exposed Their Hand
by OneFingerSalute inso the wtb&t$ have either intentionally or unwittingly exposed their hand in this mornings wt indoctrination article.. this is a direct quote from par.
"regardless of how long we have been in the truth, we must tell others about jehovah's organization.
" the question is, "what obligation does psalm 48: 12-14 place on us?".

Do you find it hard to be around active JW's now?
by EdenOne ini do - actually, it's become close to unbearable.. and herein lies the paradox: i tried to fade in the illusion that i might keep contact with family and friends still "in".
was it worth it?
because not only most of them shun me anyways, but i find it almost unbearable to be around them, especially when the cult chit chat kicks in: every cute animal video clip triggers endless comments about glimpses of the future paradise and how "god did it"; those greasy praises to the organization and the governing body; the dumb awe about every jw broadcast and those cheesy music videos; the endless drivel against other religions when one knows perfectly well that we're no better than them; the endless flow of "experiences" of field service or spectacular conversions into "the truth"; the relentless congregation gossip; and so on .... i ask myself: is this why i am fading for ...?

Been a long while since I've been around any socially, but yes. I remember it being like I was among an alien civilization there for a while, absolutely intolerable after five minutes. -

Guardians Of Doctrine (GOD) and the Governing Body
by punkofnice ini don't know if gb member g jackson really meant the gb were 'god', with his 'guardians of doctrine' comment at the arc.
it's nice and conspiracy to think so, i suppose.
i honestly don't know.

But it would be presumptuous of GJ to say they are the only guardians. Hell, all of us here could also be fellow guardians of doctrine according to GJs testimony before the RC. -

Guardian of Doctrine Admits 'Doesn't Really Matter If Jehovah is Accurate' say it how you want...
by LostGeneration intough to watch this whole video, the way he talks gets pretty annoying, especially after the rc hearings:.
http://tv.jw.org/#video/vodstudio/pub-jwban_201506_1_video.
go to around 8:20 where he gets into the pronunciation of jehovah.

Go to around 8:20 where he gets into the pronunciation of Jehovah. Admits that accuracy doesn't really matter, what matters is what is popular, well known or well established. (Just don't try doing that when you want to grow a beard, celebrate your birthday, or any other well known thing the bible doesn't say anything about)
Another funny point is at 10:15 where he explains the name Jehovah has a "looooooong history" you know, all the way back to about 1530.
So I will stick to my favorite pronunciation since G-Jack has approved: Jehobo
