  Latest rumor - all WT construction "suspended", except for Warwick

  heard 4th-hand, but from a full-on believer, so not likely to be an "apostate lie":.

  apparently, at bethel's morning worship this morning, it was announced that all worldwide wts construction is "suspended" for an indefinite time, except for the new world headquarters at warwick.. also, the "relocation" of remote translating teams is also suspended.. finally, there will be a "worldwide" reduction in bethel personnel.. all this came to me in a non-english language, and,as noted, 4th-hand.

  so it is possible something may have been lost in translation and/or in the multiple steps between bethel morning worship & me.. but if true, it would be quite stunning.

  No KH construction or renovations at all???

  If that is the case, that is going to be a massive gunshot wound right into the foot.

  They raid every local congo bank account, ask for a monthly KH build donation (never-ending, don't forget that), promise to take care of the properties in return, then DO NOTHING for years, or longer??

  I don't give many JWs credit for adding 2+2, but something like this is really putting their future at risk. People are gonna actually start saying "WTF is going on here??"

  so today i'm watching cbs news coverage of the popes visit to america.

  first, let me say i'm not religious at all at this point in my life.

  still a few things stood out to me about the news coverage of his visit.. first thing i wondered was if a gb member happened to garnish this much press (unlikely) what would his message be?

  As long as he presides over an organization promoting invisibly sky friends, and also one that promotes backwards teachings about human sexuality - I consider him an enemy of progress.

  some guardian angels are assigned to protect and guide a particular person, group, kingdom or country.

  the assignment to watch over one person sounds boring, is it a 24 hour thing.. what happen when his assigned person get into a altercation with another person assigned by another angel, do they make bets who will win.

  what do you really believe the percentage is for jw who are truly ignorant of what is going on behind closed doors of the w.t.

  as opposed to those who actually know something is wrong & yet go along with it for whatever reason?

  i have been asked for coffee by what i can only describe as one of the sweetest persons i have ever known & i cant even begin to conceive that she knows what is happening with the child abuse cases but then how do i know?

  the reaction to it was quite negative but i have to admit that the title of that thread was intriguing to me.

  I think he took the stuff with him because basically it was his shit, you know, when you pack up and move you take your shit with you.

  They didn't move on him right after he moved away, they had to find something to "get him" on, and they even had to change the DA doctrine just to get him on that.

  Obviously the GB 1.0 brain trust was about as smart as the current clown show. They don't have any plan, they are reactive instead of proactive in all facets of how they operate. Anyone with a few brain cells that can be rubbed together can make them look like the clowns they really are, and Ray Franz did it well.

  i am truly chocked and baffled by the number of volunteers they got for this project; especially in the states.

  looking at one of their articles on the matter, they stated that a large portion of the printing work was delegated to other locations than ny, thus, they did not need as much space as they did in ny.

  also, it was stated that operation cost in nyc were expensive.

  Its a loyalty test, and of course has the side benefit of raking in a couple billion bucks.

  let's pretend this might happen.

  im not asking what it will mean for the jdubs or for the organization, but what will it mean for you---- if one day you wake up and the watchtower drops the 1914 doctrine.. (you know at some point they have to, but probably not our lifetime).

  if you are disfellowshipped or disassociated and have been shunned by your parents, by your children, by you spouse or ex-husband/wife, for years or even less, will you call your relatives and ask/tell them;.
