  Time to go from Ministerial Servant to Elder

  what is the shortest timeframe you've seen for one to go from ministerial servant to an elder if he:.

  is on good terms with all elders and the circuit overseer.gives the co a green handout to help out with his expenses on each visit.has the co over for a meal each visit.has phone number and email of co and communicates at least every other month - just to chat about how things are going, good service experiences, etc.

  No, it is important to make it known. If nobody knows for that, then your personal study and family worship is useful-for-nothing.

  The longest prayer ever done scenario

  what if a deaf brother sign the longest prayer ever recorded like one hour or two hours, do you think the audience will disappear before he signs amen?

  I don't like to say something like: "Nobody knows!"

  Because in my language we usually use double negation.

  We would say: "Nobody doesn't know".

  I know, it sounds stupid in English, but that's usual in my language.

  Or another example:

  ENGLISH: Nothing can separate us from God’s love unless we separate ourselves from God.

  MY LANGUAGE: Nothing cannot separate us from God’s love unless we don't separate ourselves from God.

  What a stupid language!

  it has come to my attention that there have been numerous posts on the board asking posters personal questions like:.

  where do you live?are you male or female?do you know people from a certain congregation?do you know a certain district overseer or circuit overseer?do you know of certain conflicts in your congregation?post some pictures of where you liveif you are an active or fading jw ...?if you are an active elder ...?there are plenty of other personal type questions that can be used to narrow down who you are.

  some may seem quite innocent like the post pictures of where you live but if i post a picture of ottawa but don't want anyone to know i live in ottawa i have just told the internet world where i live.

  Has anyone here been a 'chairman' for an assembly? Question with regard to the script for introductions

  does anyone know if the chairman's introductions and announcements are completely scripted?

  particularly with the use of adjectives and adverbs when introducing talks and speakers.. 'as we listen intentedly....'.

  'we eagerly look forward to bro so and so's talk'.
