my family is still fixated on the 1914 date, simply because world war i started that year.. i told them i will agree it is a significant year in world history, but that the 1914 date as presented by jw's is based on lies and charlatanry.. i said "i think the wt really lucked out with 1914 with wwi starting that year - it keeps most jw's stuck on that date" .

the standard answer is "well, that was the year everything went haywire"...... let the circular reasoning continue .

Wars had not ended! Local wars were transformed in the war between Austria and Russia. Read about "Crna Ruka" ("Black Hand" Organization and Apis, its leader), "Ujedinjenje ili smrt" and other organizations, if you want to understand the background and origin of the WWI. Forget Gavrilo Princip and other fools.

JT, I am a historian. I know history of this part of the world better than any "respected historian" in United States. I don't want to debate about that.

JT, you don't know what are you talking about. Research that better. There are documents which can prove that it began in 1912.

I don't know if the 1914 doctrine and theology is right or wrong.

But I know that the "American Governing Body" doesn't know historicals facts.

Or misrepresnts them...

They say it happened suddenly, that Devil caused it in very short period of time during the 1914.

Not true.

There was not a long period of peace before 1914. The World War actually began in 1912. Check it out! It is historical fact!

Has "American Governing Body" ever mentioned the Balkan Wars? Please, can somebody find it in literature?

They (American Governing Body) don't know what are they talking about.

I know the country where "the last days" started (it was in Sarajevo, Bosnia, 1914) and its history very well.

Why nobody asks people in Bosnia about that?

so, if you're sick to death of it, leave now, save yourselves.... anyhoo... as the wts has now unleashed on the world the true explanation of generation and what it means for those of us in this time of the end, dubs who accept without question this teaching are 'oohing' and 'ahhing' as the new explanation 'makes so much sense now'.
