  he not only knew the woman in question (she's now deceased), he has met her numerous times.

  hi, i usually don't post here a lot but, i spent some time with my aunt and uncle last week.

  he's df'ed and she's inactive but still makes some meetings.

  we somehow got into how bad some of the new songs are and they both mentioned a few interesting things about the songs back in the 60-80's.

  Does the Watchtower contain photo's of the Devil

  i have not been able to find any photo's of satan the devil in the watchtower.

  there are photo's of the serpent with eve, satan's hand offering kingdoms to jesus and a shadowy cloaked figure speaking to jesus on the mountain.

  apart from that i cannot locate any of a proper looking devil.

  Gilead Class and/or Graduation Dates

  hey everyone :):).

  i'm working on something i'm writing and looking alllllll over the watchtower library, such as the proclaimers book, to try and find dates for the first gilead classes.

  i'm specifically trying to find the date(s) of the second gilead class.

  the watchtower society in norway has voluntarily and on their own initiative reduced their membership rolls in order to fit to the world wide practice of witnesses when it comes to membership enrollment.. now, they only incluce baptized members, not children and non-baptized publishers in the number they report to the authorities.

  as a registered faith community, jws, alike with all other registered religious and philosophical communities, receive support from the government.

  that is calculated on basis of the number of members... in times past they included children, thus making the membership into some 15,000, whereas now they report just slightly above 11,000. the money paid is a sort of repayment of taxes paid by inhabitants, as norway has a state church.

  Norway, a European Non-EU Country

  In Norway, about 420 faith communities have been registered in addition to the state church. Denominations with congregations in various regions either register as one entity under one name or let their congregations register separately. Some communities choose to have one central registration, e.g., the Roman Catholic Church or the Methodist Church. Others let each local congregation take care of their own registration: for example, the Muslim communities and the Pentecostal congregations. The Norwegian Humanist Association is also registered as a belief system. Every community has official membership records.

  In Norway, a registered faith community has the right to receive governmental funding but must apply for this to regional authorities every year before 1 April. The amounts allotted to faith communities depend on their membership. In the year 2000, the state gave each community 30 EUR per member. The state grants must be used for "religious purposes". The communities must record their expenses and submit their accounting to the County Governor every year before 1 March. The accounting must be signed by the community board or a registered accountant. Abuses can be sanctioned by the loss of the benefits from the financing system.

The class was to start in September 1943.

  It was in 1942 that I heard of Gilead School, and by the fall term in 1943 I was there as a member of the second class, following the Minneapolis assembly. Going to school with such a large group of brothers and sisters was like living in a new world.

  Police: Man Arrested On Sex Charges
  Case Goes Back To 1980

  PHOENIX -- Phoenix police have arrested a man on sex charges dating back to 1980.

  Court paperwork shows David Nelson, 63, played strip poker with the 14-year-old victim at least twice, and there was some inappropriate touching.

  Officers arrested Nelson on Wednesday on two counts each of sexual conduct with a minor, molestation and public sexual indecency.

  Investigators say they have a recorded phone call between Nelson and the victim where Nelson admits performing oral sex and playing strip poker and later apologizes.

  Officers said Nelson met the victim through a Jehovah Witness church where Nelson was a minister.

  Police said the victim told his wife about the incidents and decided to come forward last month.

  It's all about the expansion pack coming up called "Cataclysm" that is going to destroy most of Kalimdor. If you play, you know what that is.

  Those are screenshots of the first of the quests for Cataclysm. It was fun running around warning all of the impending doom and hearing the comments from the NPCs. One quest had us wearing a sandwich board and running to different parts of Durotar basically screaming "the end is near". Some of the comments were "go tell someone who hasn't heard this before" and "who would believe someone dressed like that" and "come back when you have a new message" or something like that. I couldn't help but think of all the doomsday cults while I completed the quests.

  On another note, someone in trade was advertising a guild, forget the name, but they wanted strong leader type men and submissive women who had 450 in tailoring and cooking who knew their place. I'm sure it was a joke but I asked if they were a group of Jehovah's Witnesses and I got a whisper from a person who told me my comment made him shoot milk out of his nose because his dad was a JW. We had a nice little discussion.
