I think born ins are broken down as well it is just harder to recognize because it is done when you are a kid. By the time you're a teen you may feel like there is no other path for you except the WT approved one. I do remember being told how special we were and privileged to be born into the only "true" religion. Of course that also came with expectations and shame if they weren't met.

How the Governing Body breaks people
by krismalone inwe all have likely heard the expression "to break a person" and usually it's in relation to kidnappers, bullies, pimps, human traffickers and cult leaders.. when a person is broken, their spirit, goals, aspirations, pursuits, self esteem, critical thinking and dreams are taken away.
what fills that vacuum is despair, depression, low self esteem, lack of self confidence and individuality.
the victim now believes that they are not worthy of enjoying life and following their dreams and personal satisfaction through personal achievements.

Hollow earth
by Jrjw ini thought the flat earth conspiracy theory was strange but ive just read an article about a new conspiracy theory that the earth is hollow and that its a paradise there and 8 foot tall intellectually advanced aliens live there who send space ships out every so often to check on mankind.
apparently lost viking colonies and nazis that fled there after world war 2 are living there immortally 🤣🤣 .
this world just gets better and better 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

The Illuminati created this new theory to throw people off the track of their reptilian overlords.

Watchtower Rebranding
by Fred Franztone inthe wtbts has finally decided to join the rest of us in the 21st century and has begun rebranding.
they've dropped the iconic watchtower sign from their heaquarters, and it's only a matter of time till they drop the now embarrassing watchtower name completely; a name synonymous with failure on the one hand and concentration camps on the other.. the organisation will soon be known solely as jw.org, bringing them right up-to-date with the web 2.0 revolution of 15 years ago, and making them the only company still to use a full web address as their main identifier, very forward-thinking of them.. it's inevitable that they'll gradually rebrand everything.
what methods do you think they'll go with?

I don't think they will go with JWs as an official moniker. Look at the renaming of the kingdom ministry, now it is the "Christian Life and Ministry" meeting. Going mainstream will require more of an emphasis on being Christians, so maybe they go with something like "Christian Witnesses of Jehovah," or something similar.

The 101 ways to use a Troll
by days of future passed inafter being around for a few years reading, then posting - i've realized the usefulness of trolls.
for 1. they expose what type of person they are.. 2. trolls are very good once you roast them.
many are not able to march up to the wt and give them a piece of our mind.

Cong accounts analysis?
by Farmer Jim1 inanyone on here an ex accounts servant?
i’d be interested in a projection of what percentage of contributions come from elderly jw’s.
i.e, money that will be diminishing over next 5 or 10 years as these ones pass on.. i estimate that in one of my previous congs 50% of the contribution totals of approximately £400 each month were being made by the over 70’s demographic.. within the other 50% were pioneers and low paid workers who put in regular but small amounts.. i guess when the accountants ring the alarm bells you start cutting the biggest costs; full time servants, buildings, printed literature.

Yes, but when they passed on they may leave WT large sums that can generate interest for a long time

Moses, Soloman spoke to the entire assembly of Israel...How???
by James Mixon inmoses spoke to the entire assembly deuteronomy 31:3, leviticus19:2 and exodus 16:9 no sound amplification, we must remember he was speaking to 2 million people.
solomon in 2 chronicles spoke to thousands maybe millions, so how the hell did folks a mile away hear..you need a sound system for 200 folks in a close building in the kh.... moses, solomon and others had a great set of vocal cords.....

Perhaps the message was repeated so that everyone could hear or more likely "the whole assembly" meant important people who then passed on the message to the other non-important people.

Girls are unpredictable, materialist, and use us, men, as a toy - Part 3
by will-be-apostate ina year ago i had a rough time and posted this .
it was a controversial topic, some people got offended by my overly boastful tone, others offered help.

Flat earth vs round earth
by Jrjw inmy brother has been talking about the earth being flat and some big conspiracy going on to make people beieve otherwise.
what are people's thoughts on this?.

I think most of these people are doing it for the ironic value. Perhaps they wish to show that anything can be argued against even the most established facts.

Who has a harder time leaving JW's - Born Ins or those who converted?
by HeyLittleGirl inmy freind (who is also out) and i were talking about this the other night.
i was a born-in, 3rd generation jw and she converted when she was in her late 20's.. when she left, she said that she knew the world wasn't as bad as she was told as a jw, so she knew she would be fine.
also, she still had lots of "worldly" family who welcomed her back with open arms.. it was harder for me - i had nobody in the "world", no family or freinds.

I think it is harder for born ins because your whole life you've been told that "the truth" is the right way to live. Your family has told you that, your friends, the elders, everyone you are close to has said it at some point. In response, you have said the same and told others that "the truth" is the best life out there. And now if you want to leave you're going to disappoint a lot of people, who whether valid or not will feel like you either betrayed them or you were deceived by some wicked influence. They will never respect your decision because they have been taught that it's the worst decision you could ever make. They won't realize that it is the only decision you can make because you just don't believe it anymore and perhaps never really did.
