  been catching up on some jw reading and found a gem in the november study wt in the first article, paragraph #11:.

  yet, you might look beyond the obvious and ask yourself, does my child enjoy the ministry or only the breaks?

  if you discern that the ministry could be more interesting or more rewarding for your children, set goals with them.

  Been catching up on some JW reading and found a gem in the November Study WT in the first article, paragraph #11:

Use creativity to help them to have a full share as your preaching companions.

  WTF? Of course most young kids will actually not want to go out in field service. Why would they? They are kids and field service isn't even satisfying for grown ups. Face it, the only reason a kid would want to go in service is to please the parents. Those are the same kids who'll get baptized at eleven and regret it later.

  Can somebody explain the songs and songbook obsession?

  i've been out a while and have only put in a rare appearance at a memorial or brief visit at a convention/assembly to keep people off my back, so i haven't kept up on the songbook.

  but one thing i've noticed that the org.

  has been doing that they never did when i was in is all these "supplemental songs" that keep appearing.

  I think the focus of the new songs is emotional manipulation. An idea can get into your brain easier when accompanied by music. The push for practicing the songs is about more manipulation and control. Songs like "Life Of A Pioneer" and "Listen, Obey and Be Blessed" have terrible lyrics designed to brainwash. I think they may have also found that many of the new songs aren't very easy to sing along to and actually take quite a bit of practice to sound good.

  I also have a theory that by having some songs that you either have to print out or download to a device they are trying to encourage meeting preparation. If you don't study and note which songs are going to be played you'll be stuck standing there with no song to sing and everyone will know you didn't study.

  what really bothered me was the quote in paragraph one.

What really bothered me was the quote in paragraph one. The nerve they have to mentionTyphoon Haiyan after what had happened there. Witnesses died in Kingdom Halls after being told they would be safe there. What does that say about God's hand and blessing on this org?   The last paragraph of a WT Study:

  "Soon this systems of things with it's blah blah blah will be destroyed along with Satan the Devil. Are we not glad then to be resolved in our heart to avoid blah blah blah and survive into the new system God is preparing? Yes, instead of focusing on blah blah blah let us give more to the org"

  I believe that WT must know that they are employing dishonest propaganda techniques in many of their articles. It is a form of conditioning. It is why they are always pushing for more personal study and comments, they want you to brain wash yourself.

  The Catholic church has stopped opposing evolution. Although they don't publicize their stance it is in the foreword of a Catholic Bible. It basically says that Genesis is an allegory and God created man through evolution. That is a stance I think many religions will start taking as evolution becomes more accepted.
