One day I had enough and walked out..
There`s no easy way out,you walk away or stay..
Don't think I can do it that way, too many people will push me until the truth comes out. Then it'll be off to a JC for me. Nope, gotta take it slow but steady.
is it possible to have an effect from the inside?
with well thought comments that reveal more of the history of the organization?
the next book we study will be "god's kingdom rules!

Outlaw - That is really easy to say when you are already DF'd or DA'd let me give you a break down of my situation.
Immediate family: All JWs except one, includes an Elder and auxiliary pioneers. We've all been together in the same congregation since I was born.
Sister In Law and Nieces: All JWs
Wife: JW
Wife's Immediate family: All JWs
Childhood Friends: JWs
Social Circle: All JWs
So yeah I'd love to write a letter of disassociation and never go back. I could do that but that would not end things, that would only be the beginning of my troubles. If I have to put on a bit of act then I will do so. I have been doing it for a long time anyway.
so that other thread was fun but now i need some help with something.
i was born in the truth most of my family is in.
although they aren't outwardly super spiritual i doubt any of them would ever leave.
It's a big responsibility. People step down from demanding church assignments all the time and are often given a "thank you for all your service" party.
LOL If JWs did that there would be no Elders or MS so instead they use fear, obligation and guilt. They want you to be afraid of what others will think when the announcement is made from the platform. They want you to feel obligated to the Elders to continue whatever responsibilities you currently handle. Of course guilt is used to make you feel like you're not giving enough to Jehovah.

is it me or are you having a hard time commenting on what does this week's bible reading teach me about jehovah & what points from this week's bible study reading can i use in the field ministry ?
i'm having a hard time commenting because what does job show about jehovah....well, # 1 he allowed job's suffering, but he didn't let satan take his life.
# 2 what scripture could one use in the field ministry regarding the book of job...talking to a householder, see if you don't behave, god's gonna get you....or allow satan to get you.
the bible tells us that noah etc lived to 500yrs old as did many other characters who lived apparently to incredible years.. yet archaeological research tells us from looking at skeletons that have been dug up that the average lifespan was very short.
if a man got to the age of 50 they would have considered that quite an achievement.
when i was in i always wondered about this?
today's wt has the below scripture as it's theme.
friday of the rc has the same as it's theme.
the silver nwt is alone in using the word loyalty in this verse.
i perfectly remember that, rehearsing with mom, trying to read with enough emphasis and in a proper tone.
i was 5 years old, back then in 1996 i think, and the portion was james 5:1-13.... i found today that i still know the first verses by heart!!!
it's actually a cherished memory for me, i came to memorize those because mom had me starting the reading all over again until i got to read it properly... and in time!!!
