I like shaved. A neat, precise little goatee is okay, but any more than that and it usually turns me off.

Your worst field service experience.
by littlebird inmy worst field service experience was this.. i didn't have a car at the time and so a pioneer sister was picking me up of service every couple of days.
she was my partner and i got a door where the woman was clearly not interested.
as i am stepping away the pioneer sister starts in with all the objection stoppers.

Umm, probably my worst experience was when I was on the service with my Dad at age 8. We called on this woman and when she answered the door, this massive dog lept from her house snarling and went straight for my face! My Dad had to physically hit the dog and kick it back into the house, while the home owner did nothing and just stood there. Not even an appology from her afterwards! I can understand people not liking Witnesses now I'm on the other side of the fence, but allowing your visious dog to go for a little girl's face? That's just wrong!
When I was older, I was out on the service with this Polish girl who barely spoke a word of English. She tried to present an Awake about blood with a woman on the doors. The woman turned out to be a nurse who had seen a child die not long ago from refusing a transfusion and took all her anger out on us. She was totally hysterical. Neither of us knew what to say! -

Conventions/Assemblies in England
by ScottyRex indoes anyone remember haysbridge, crystal palace, twickenham, dorking from the 80's/90's.........so many memories there.
the 5p lunch vouchers, the aroma of bacon rolls and hot doughnuts at twickenham, the smell of coffee as 50,000 odd opened their thermos flasks at lunchtime.
walking around endless laps of the perimeter of the stadium at break times, watching the airplanes flying low over twickenham stadium en route to heathrow.. cinema style seats at dorking assembly hall, the baptismal pool built into the stage, flapping my hands in the water and getting told off.

Twickingham and Haysbridge, yes!
Who were those people that used to picket outside Twickingham anyway? Were they ex-members, or from another religion? I was told not to even look at them, so I didn't. -

"your just happier now because you don't have to be good any more!"
by highdose insorry about the false start.. .
this above phrase was recently said to me by a dub, when i told them that i didn't attend any more and that i felt much better for it.
" i asked " did i have so much agony with low self esteam, self hatred and no confidence while in a religon that is supposed to have gods blessing, and yet when i leave it all those problems dissapear?".

I'm happier now because I don't affectively have a gun held at my head being told that if I don't do good I'm going to get it! I love having the freedom to be and do good on my own, without any threats of death or bribes or everlasting life.
So who's really 'good' between us and Witnesses? Us, who are doing good purely because we know we should, or Witnesses, who do good to recieve a reward (or avoid a punishment)?
It's why I like the Humanist motto: "Good Without God". -

Uhh... I have the latest mention on my 2008 Watchtower CD (I really need the new one! >__< ) as 15th December '08. Nothing important though. Just a brief mention in an article about Witnesses in Korea.
There doesn't seem to be any mention that I could find in the last couple of years' Watchtowers about the UN in regard to prophecy. They mention the UN quite a bit, but only to quote them on statistics and the like (e.g.: "According to a United Nations source, about five million children die from the effects of hunger each year.").

If I Had Intelligently Designed Man...
by VoidEater in...i'd leave out stuff that serves no purpose - like the appendix and coccyx.. ...i'd make the testicles internal so all those baseballs in the groin didn't hurt so much.. ...i'd add a third hand and eyes in the back of the head.. .
