  At long last - Six Screens of the Watchtower website now Open!

  hi everybody.. i've been a long time lurker here (as are sooo many others.

  further to following mouthy's thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/11/129936/1.ashx , i noticed that the 'six screens' website is finally shown as being able to be 'checked out'.. i believe minimus first posted about this some months back.

  I cowin' love the 6 screens site! I am an active Witness waiting to get out. Wished I had never heard of them, or rather that my Grandparents had never heard of them, that would be better! lol

  is anyone familar with john denton and what has become of him?

  he is from the uk and an avid bible scholar.

  How long before you stopped believing armageddon was on your doorstep?

  i was born into "the truth" back in 1964. i made the big mistake of getting baptised when i was about 14 or so, purely to please my father as i saw how proud he was when my brothers were baptised....didn't work.. we moved to a new congregation when i was about 8, he introduced all my brothers to the congregation by name, a short bio of thier endearing qualities and how proud he was of them, when he introduced me it was "and this is our black sheep of the family, steve".. i remember living in fear at the fast approaching 1975....actually, living in terror is probably a more apt desciption.

  all of you will full well know how it was instilled into us at every meeting and assembly how we are living in the last days.. as a 15 year old, a brother dobbed me in for kissing a worldly girl at school.

  went through the marked process, judicial committy, disfellowshipped and the shunning which continues to this day by what's left of my family.

  Should read...

  "Jesus' enthronement 2033, a generation 37 1/2 years, and then during the rule of the 8th king the "end" comes in 2070."

  I don't know if you can edit your posts.

  It is the business, and it makes a lot more sense.

  OK he is putting dates on things, but when you work it out on God's "Great Calender" it all fits!

  Furthermore, I think there are only a handful of people in the world who appreciate John's work, which proves it is correct in that it is in the early stages, and Jesus hasn't yet come to kingly power.

  Now this makes sense...

  Jesus' enthronement 1033, a generation 37 1/2 years, and then during the rule of the 8th king the "end" comes in 2070.

  I always thought that the bible had all the answers.

  THAT is why it is called the "Sacred Secret", as we are still in "God's Rest".

  Read it people, it's great!

  Jerusalem destroyed 607 or 586/7?

  let's try this again...most of us are aware that all available evidence points to the time of jerusalem's destruction at the 586/7bc time frame.

  overwhelming evidence includes astronomical phenomena, achaeological evidence, bank records, the bible itself.. some hold to 607bc, for obvious reasons- the implications it has.

  thoughts on how this would effect the average witness if forced to conclude 607 is wrong?
