  my question, why would one immigrate to the west and refuse to adopt the western cultural?.

  if you believe our way of life is so degenerated why bring your family to this place.. in a very close 5-4 vote, the city of irving ruled to back the texas state bill banning foreign.

  You could not be more wrong. That is exactly like saying JWs judicial procedures are completely voluntary and harmless.

  I have watched undercover recordings of sharia courts where a woman who has suffered long term physical abuse was interrogated about what she was doing to make her husband angry and sent home to try to be a better wife.

  Sharia courts are about institutionalised misogyny.

  i'm probably going to say some things here that will disappoint many.

  there are some that may look back over the years and say "man i really blew it" i'm not writing the following to scold for failures, but rather to help those who are young enough to put into practice what god wills for their life, and also to those of us who are in our middle years that still have time to change some things, in order to please god and find a peace that only being in his will can bring.

  first let me say that god didn't create man for you.

  Every intelligent 21st century adult can easily see that the advice in the OP is utter garbage, but at least it is honest.

  Believers usually get their ethics from secular values and then dishonestly pretend they got them from Jesus. People like STT have the gall to read the bible and say it like it is. God does think that women are second class citizens.

  Religion poisons everything and STT is not going to water it down.

  let this story be a warning for all you guys here.

  if you value your privacy do not ever send your real contact details to anyone, even if you trust them (because their accounts could be hacked or accessed by their relatives - and yes, this happened to people i know several times already).

  Second in the Medal Table - Well Done TeamGB

  can't believe it - gb is currently second in the medal table, with more golds and silvers combined than even china.

  given the size of the nation it's an incredible achievement and we have won in some sports where other countries typically dominate.

  i can't imagine we will stay in second but i am happy to enjoy the moment.. well done to the whole of team gb!.

  It's an outstanding achievement.

  It has all changed for the better since Sport England began targeting funding towards elite athletes. Most schools also got over their ridiculous "everybody is a winner - non-competitive sports" foolishness.

  just thought id let you all in on some info i found on northeasttruth.com.

  that magical moment where the moon blocks out the sun!

  but only just enough to perfectly cover the suns disc, whilst still allowing us to see the corona of light and other electromagnetic forces radiating from it.. this only happens because the moon diameter is exactly 1/400th the size of the suns and is positioned at exactly 1/400th of the distance between earth and the sun!so, when we see it from the surface of earth, we are in the only place this can ever be seen, at the only time it could ever happen.

  Bioenergetics is about setting up the conditions that existed in the ancient environment of an alkaline vent and passively observing life emerge.

  It will prove that life is a process and not a "thing". It will show that your god is not the source of life.

  So much is happening in WT world right now and this is a good place to keep up with the latest news. Well done on going to see your dad. I hope you can continue to build a friendship with him. Only you know about your situation but please take it easy regarding sharing bad news about the JWs with your dad if there is an opportunity to get some sort of relationship with him.

  Theism is indistinguishable from other superstitions.

  1 - If you walk under a ladder/see a black cat/break a mirror/spill salt etc. bad things will happen to you.

  2 - If you don't assent to certain irrational propositions about a dead Jewish carpenter bad things will happen to you.

  What is the difference?
