A Mathematic Perspective on Evolution
by Saethydd ini would like to apologize in advance if any of my information on the biology side of this discussion is incorrect, because unfortunately it is not my strongest scientific subject on account of my being subtly encouraged to view it with distrust.. i've recently debated the of subject of evolution with my father, i made the argument that when viewed over several million years random mutation provides a more than adequate explanation for humans having evolved from a common ancestor with chimpanzees.
then he got this derisive look on his face a waved his hand saying "evolution's explanation for everything is the amount of time involved.".
so i decided i would examine this mathematically.

Why does God allow animals to suffer? Does God care about animals? What does the Watchtower teach about this?
by defender of truth inthe following article will address these questions, and attempt to answer them.. after helping jwfacts with his page on animal suffering, i decided to write this article.. it is mainly aimed at helping jehovahs witnesses and other believers in god to think about the issue, as well as the apparent contradictions in watchtower teaching.. thanks must go to jwfacts for the encouragement, and giving me permission to use an image from his page and to use some of the quotes.. also, thankyou to cofty for general moral support.. please let me know what you think everybody, and feel free to reproduce any part or all of the article on any other website, just post and let me know that you've used it on your site please.. (i'd appreciate it if anyone could post to tell me they found a point in here useful, it would encourage me to keep going).. okay, here it is:.
why does god allow animal suffering?.
does it trouble you to see animals in pain?.

anointed1 - You listed some books you have read about evolution. Thank you. Those books lay out incontrovertible evidence that every living thing evolved from a common ancestor.
You dismiss that without comment and try to distract everybody with a mistaken objection about information theory.
One step at a time. First let's address common ancestry. Please take a look at these questions that contain links to the answers...

Anointed1 - Asked you about which books you have studied that presents the evidence for biological evolution not physics.
Evolution is a fact.

Unguided evolution and mutation succeeding against the all-pervasive force of entropy that rules the material world is really a more amazing miracle than creation. - anointed1
Living things extract energy from their local environment. There is no contradiction between unguided evolution and thermodynamics. In fact there is an interesting hypothesis that thermodynamics makes the emergence of life inevitable. Life accelerates entropy.
Please tell us which books that present the evidence for evolution you have read. I'm going to make two predictions that have proved accurate many times in the past.
1 - The honest answer is none
2 - You won't answer the question.

Winnesses of ME (Jesus)...Acts 1:8...NOT Winnesses of Jehovah
by NikL inso jesus said in acts 1:8 .... you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you,+ and you will be witnesses+ of me in jerusalem,+ in all ju·deʹa and sa·marʹi·a,+ and to the most distant part* of the earth.. .
witnesses of jesus and not jehovah.
so i was a witness for years.

1] Early Christians were WITNESSES of Jesus.
On his last evening with his disciples Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit who would;
"Bear witness about me, and you in turn are to bear witness, because you have been with me from when I began." (Jhn.15:26,27)
Immediately prior to his ascension Jesus told them ;
"You will be witnesses of me..to the most distant part of the earth." (Acts 1:8)
Paul said that the minds of unbelievers had been blinded so that:
"The glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. For we are preaching not ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord." (2Cor.4:4,5)
In Revelation the dragon goes off to wage war with those who:
"Have the work of bearing witness to Jesus."
The harlot is seen to be;
"Drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus."
When John falls down before the angel he receives the rebuke:
"Be careful do not do that. All I am is a fellow slave of you and of your brothers who have the work of witnessing to Jesus."
In contrast to the practice of early Christians, no Jehovah's Witness would ever identify themselves as a witness of Jesus...

ARC Analysis Summary of Case Files
by Richard Oliver ini have been doing research on the arc as some people on here have suggested.
i find it interesting on the case file analysis some of the findings.
it looks like queensland and new south wales had the biggest problems with this.

Why do some Jehovah's Witnesses choose to be atheist or agnostic?
by Cassaruby in"traumatic as the initial transition may be, it can lead to the development of a truly personal relationship with these two greatest friends [the father and the son] .
.. "whatever sense of 'belonging' that membership in some religious system may create, it can never compare with the power and beauty and strengthening benefit of the intimate personal relationship the scripture presents .
from reading joseph campbell i've come to understand that there are functions to religion or mythology.

I value their emphasis on evidence
That is like saying you value the Jewish emphasis on foreskins.
