  Another strong line of evidence is the fact JWs refuse to kill each other, which one would have thought would be a basic requirement for a Christian community, but which distinguishes JWs from most (notice I didn't say all, don't misquote me) Christians - SBF

  I am bothered that some posters want to snipe about 'postmodernism' rather than engage on the actual arguments - Laika

  I'm not bothered in the slightest about whether or not some form of the divine name appeared in the LXX or the NT. I think it's trivial and uninteresting.

  I am bothered that SBF is waffling about these "crucial times" and "the last days".

  SBF's inability to judge the WT as a dangerous, lying, child-abusing, family-destroying, dehumanising cult is directly connected to his relativistic postmodern worldview.

  This is what happens when you buy into post-modern relativism. Even an evil cult cannot be judged as right or wrong. Instead you end up waffling about whether or not their "truths" are useful.

  When did "scholarly corrections" ever factor in JW beliefs? They have moved their end-time predictions more times than you can count because of one thing - failure.

  "Penomenal"? The use of the divine name in the early church remains speculative. It was never "Jehovah" at any time. How exactly does this amount to a "phenomenal success"?

  What last days exactly? Have you taken leave of your senses?

  to champion his name at this crucial time if they did not enjoy his blessing and support?

  What "crucial time"?

  What evidence do you see of god's blessing and support?

  Is it the failed prophecies? The lies, deceit and cover-ups? The thousands of cases of child sexual abuse and their on-going refusal to accept responsibility? The tens of thousands who have died from lack of essential blood transfusions based on a facile interpretation of the bible? The constant begging for money? The closure of branches and kingdom halls? The betrayal of long-time Bethelites? The cruel breaking-up of families?

  Is this the sort of evidence of blessings you had in mind?
