A blatant mistake in the UK Government's Letter?
by The Fall Guy into quote the national institue of allergy and infectious diseases: "there are hundreds of coronaviruses, most of which circulate among such animals as pigs, camels, bats and cats.
sometimes those viruses jump to humans—called a spillover event—and can cause disease.

I read an article on Quillette a few months ago that opened my eyes to how questionable the Pell trial has been. It has a hint of show-trial about it.
I was aggressively anti-Pell and still am but you can't convict somebody without proper evidence if you care about rule of law.

by The Fall Guy inhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-52171712.
the bbc isn't even covering this story - it's merely publishing the front page of a newspaper which is!
why not bbc?.

According to The Scotsman she visited her holiday home in Fife two weekends in a row. Once with her whole family and the second time with her husband.

She actually put nobody at increased risk. They travelled as a family group, stayed overnight to check on their second home and travelled back as a family group.
The problem is that most of us are being forced to follow a 'rules-are-rules' approach rather than being allowed to apply common sense - an uncommon commodity. She allowed herself the privilege of using her own considerable knowledge and judgement.
That inconsistency has probably made her position untenable.

What do you think of the ransom as proof of Jehovah's love?
by AlainAlam inconsider these excerpts from the bible and the publications:.
“no one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his life in behalf of his friends” (joh 15:13).
“for hardly would anyone die for a righteous man; though perhaps for a good man someone may dare to die.

From a traditional xtian perspective Jesus' death was vicarious punishment for our sins. Therefore his pain and separation from the Father was significant.
To a JW Jesus died to buy back the value of the perfect life that Adam forfeited by his disobedience
To a Christian Jesus died to take the punishment that is due for my sins

I think an informed JW (a rare thing these days) would point out that 1 - blood had to be poured out and 2 - to remove the curse of the Law from Israel he had to be hung on a tree.
