I had a somewhat paranormal experience 2 days ago, but I think science is just light years behind on this.....
by Bad_Wolf infor the record i'm agnostic, never seen any direct evidence of spirits, afterlife, etc.
i've been visiting my mother during this corona ordeal.
a year ago i had a dream i was much older and talking to somebody about how my mom died this year but it was avoidable.

The NHS wasn't overwhelmed BECAUSE our freedom of movement was restricted. It's not that difficult.
Do you read the instructions on the shampoo bottle every morning?

Also your attempts at science are equally woeful. The ability to detect virus particles in a lab at larger distances has little or no bearing on the real world.
The WHO is recommending 1metre separation. 2 metres reduces the potential viral load as somebody else just said before.

Boogy - Your OP is gibberish.
What exactly is your point?
As we ease out of lockdown and introduce mass testing and tracing the government needs the authority to reintroduce local lockdowns as necessary.
That is how you allow the maximum amount of freedom to the maximum number of people.
Why do you never just share objective information instead of constantly trying to play Gotcha really badly?

Watchtower August 2020 Are they introducing new light?
by Listener inthe latest watchtower is now out and they make this statement -.
7 during the thousand year rule of christ, all of jehovah’s earthly children will have to make changes to please him.
so all of them will have true fellow feeling as they help the resurrected ones to combat sinful tendencies and to live by jehovah’s standards.

I think they are just using the term 'children' in a more casual sense.
It illustrates the problems raised by their pedantic theology. If the 'other sheep' are not sons of god why do they call him their Heavenly Father in prayer?

We cannot pick and choose which of the above descriptions of those who belong to God apply to us, and which ones do not. We cannot for example be reconciled to God, but not be a “new creation”. (see 2 Cor.5:16-19) We cannot be “beloved children” of God, but not be “born of God”. We cannot draw a line between calling God “Father”, and calling him, “Abba, Father”. If we have not been adopted then we are not His children, He is not our Father, and we have no right to call Him such at all. If we are His children then we are also joint heirs with Christ. If we are “in harmony with the Spirit” then “God’s Spirit truly dwells” in us, but if we do not have the Holy Spirit then we do “not belong to” Christ. (See Rom.8:9-17) Only if we are “led by the Spirit” can we produce the “fruitage of the Spirit”. But again, if we are, then we can cry out “Abba Father” and we are adopted as sons of God and joint heirs with Christ. (See Gal.4:6,7;5:16-24)

Sin and death - how does it make sense to ANY believer of ANY religion?
by BourneIdentity insince adam and eve’s fall, we are all sinners.
it’s what we do, there is no way to change it, sinning is a daily part of life.
there are major sins, but most of us commit minor ones everyday in words, thoughts or deeds.

Don't forget that the genocidal deity of the OT was the god and father of gentle Jesus meek and mild. You can't have one without the other.

as clever people know
Which is shorthand for 'l have no evidence at all for what I am about to say'
We live in the greatest time in all of human history.
A general feeling of angst is a hallmark of religiously inclined people especially cult members.
Try reading some actual data like Stephen Pinker's 'The Better Angels of our Nature' or 'Enlightenment Now' by the same author. Also Michael Shermer's 'The Moral Arc'.
Facts trump religious bias every time.

North-East England just a few miles south of the Scottish border.
(Please add a pic of your hometown if you can)
Here is Berwick. You can see the defensive walls that date from the time when Scotland and England didn't play nice. A walk around the top of the walls is a nice way to spend half an hour.
