  What would you change?

  i’m agnostic so maybe the universe started by chance or by design.. if it was by design (hypothetically) and the bible is the designers word, and jws seem to be the closest to it, then what would be the largest things you would change?.

  here are a few ideas.

  -do away with the governing body thinking they are gods only channel.

  Cofty thinks it’s not JWs it is another group and I have asked him several times which other group has love among themselves all around the world?

  I have not said any such thing.

  I agree with everything Grretteacher said about how false the so-called love of JWs is.

  They will literally treat you as if you are dead for a thought crime. Parents will cut off their own children and exclude their grandchildren from their lives. Parents will let their infant child die for want of life-saving medical treatment. They will allow pedophiles to carry on their evil crimes safe from the authorities because they value the reputation of their precious cult more than the safety of their children.

  If you think love can be built on a foundation of enforced uniformity of thought you are still under its spell.

  Cofty which organisation do you think is closer to the truth about the Bible than JWs?

  What you are actually asking is - which organisation that agrees with the way the JWs interpret the bible is closer to the truth?

  The bible does not present a consistent view of any major doctrine so it all depends on your preferences. JWs major on trivial things and miss the big picture.

  Specifically they have a view of Jesus that is at odds with the early church. Secondly the JWs story of the meaning of Jesus' death would be alien to them.

  Do away with the risible idea that the bible is literally the inspired word of God.

  It has some interesting content, some wisdom, some beauty and a whole lot of repugnant narrative.

  Stop insulting the intelligence of people by insisting that Adam and Eve were actual characters and that life hasn't existed on earth for millions of years.

  You shouldn't have to pretend to be scientifically illiterate in order to belong to a community.

  And also - stop calling it 'The Truth '. That moniker hasn't aged well.

  Should a person die for their religious BELIEFS?

  in ancient israel many of the prophets were killed as a result of their religious assignments —from god.

  even soldiers were sent out to fight against idolatrous “uncircumcised” and logically some died for example jonathan, the son of king saul.

  these soldiers were said to be fighting the wars of jehovah and there was no miraculous salvation for everybody all of the time.

  ): 12 boys and 1 girl.. if you flip a coin 13 times, the probability to have 12 heads is about 0.002!.

  Sorry but I don't think that can possibly be true. Do you have a source for that?

  It is true that some males have a slight bias towards one or the other. In the big picture 51% of babies are males.
