  "Protecting minors from abuse" - 45 minutes.

  This is tokenism at its worse.
  

  As a football coach I have attended many training programmes about child welfare. The most basic introduction is a three hour course delivered by a well-trained educator.

  The take-home message is always the same. It is your responsibility to be aware of signs of abuse and to report any concerns to the police or social services. Informing the Football Governing Body welfare department is secondary. In addition every club has a named child welfare officer who undertakes further training and makes sure that everything the club does conforms to best practice - a role I filled for a number of years. Every adult at the club - coaches, managers and some administrators must also hold enhanced criminal record check certificates.

  The Watchtower do not care about child welfare, they care about appearing to care about child welfare.

  Thank you. It seems to be a case of "use it or lose it". Our ancestors diet came to include sufficient fruit so that there was no selection pressure to maintain genes for vitamin C.

  The specific mutation can be identified and usefully confirms our relationship to other primates. A significant part of our genome consists of pseudo genes. Relics of our past. See the thread in this series on olfactory genes for another example. Typing on my phone so can't do a link.

  Debating a Christian at work.

  a christian at work has been after me for more than a year to go to his church and be saved.

  i like the guy and consider him a friend and have been politely trying to avoid the subject.

  i have recently decided that enough is enough and i told him i would discuss religion with him.

  I'm asking very simple questions for clarification. Who exactly, in the opinion of conspiracy theorists like yourself and ON, was actually behind the murder of dozens of US citizens and specifically for what political purpose?   elon musk believes we are and he's a pretty smart guy that runs spacex, a lot black hole physics may seem to present the 3 dimentional space as a hologram of a 2 dimentional sphere.. i think this is open for serious debate.

  Old Navy - You conspiracy nuts never take on the responsibility of supplying a coherent narrative. All we get is a few ambiguous insinuations that some dark plan lies behind random events that only wise old souls like you can understand.

  Join the dots. Who was really behind the mass killing? What was the motive of the shooter and those who put him up to it? What did they really achieve? How many people were in on the conspiracy? Do a risk-benefit analysis of killing dozens of US citizens for some vague political objective.

  Shit happens, there is no master plan. You are not the oracle of secret agendas.

  It was no doubt orchestrated by "those in power" to achieve the long sought for "gun ban" and also to send a very clear message to Pres. Trump - Old Navy

  It is disconcerting to encounter this degree of cynicism.

  The violent deaths of 59 people instantly becomes a plaything for conspiracy nuts. Utterly insane!
