  Neanderthals - Meet Your Ancestors

  tonight (sunday, 13th may) at 20:00 on bbc 2 ... for neanderthal believers, agnostics and deniers.. this first programme in a two-part series investigates what neanderthals looked like and and how they lived in their ice age world.

  it turns out that almost everything we thought we knew about them is wrong.

  they weren't hunched, grunting, knuckle-dragging ape-men at all.

  EQV - Initially paleontologists had a few fossils to go on. Neanderthals were clearly hominid but not Homo sapien. More and more samples were discovered allowing scientists to say more about their anatomy. Sites where they lived and died were discovered revealing facts about their culture.

  Then geneticists were able to recover some samples of DNA and it appeared that they never bred with humans. With improved techniques more of their genome has been decoded showing that we did in fact share some ancestry with them.

  Science progresses constantly as new discoveries opens up new possibilities for research.

  can anyone tell me when, and why jehovahs witnesses hold evening gala,s / ball with full tuxedo,s and evening gowns ?

  is it uk only as i have heard family throughout the uk attend these events (jw only) of course !.

  what is the purpose of these events and how long have the dubs being doing so ?

  Creation: Science has glossed over how consciousness and life entered the universe, that's a pretty big thing to miss but everything has it's limits.

  Actually it has done no such thing. Progress in the field of abiogenesis is very exciting. The most promising ideas are coming out of bioenergetics. Would you like me ot suggest some reading material?

  JWs are required to submit to the incredibly stupid dogma that humans have only been on earth for just over 6000 years. That is jaw-droppingly ignorant!

  Humans evolved from non-human ancestors over millions of years. This much is beyond sensible dispute. How many books would you like me to suggest on this topic?

  Here are forty bits of evidence just to get you started...

  By the way the WT brochures on creation are woefully dumb and dishonest in equal measure.

  Job 26:7 “Earth is hanged upon nothing”—proof of inspiration?

  jws has been saying bible is authored by god because job 26:7 says: “earth is being hanged upon nothing.” and this verse in combination with isaiah 40:22 which says “god resides above the circle of earth” implies that earth is spherical and remains unsupported from above or from beneath.

  thus, bible contains the knowledge which science confirmed later.. however, recent understanding of science is that the whole visible part of the universe is only 4%, and the visible exists because of the invisible 96%-- “dark matter 26%” and “dark energy 70%”--which is a fifth and previously unknown type of fundamental force called quintessence, which fills the universe like a fluid serving as a support to the visible universe.

  this perfectly encapsulates the behaviour and opinions of the left and dave rubin nails it - "you're not oppressed, you're entitled".. lots of of shouting and claims of being denied rights to speak but nothing really to say when given a mic, just endless shouting and baseless confused claims about 'free speech'.

  hey, some blm bitches try and get in on it too because, why not.. constant "i have a question, i have a question ..." as though she isn't allowed to ask it when the reality is she really has nothing to say, she just wants to stop other people being able to talk.

  what a stupid cunt.. sadly, the left is indoctrinating a generation to think that *this* is what political discourse and "taking a stand" is.

  jw.org believes that jesus is not god but a separate entity.

  let's go with that for the time being.

  in the referenced scriptures the writer of hebrews says that jesus "sustains all things by the word of his power" and has been "appointed heir of all things".
