  this is my first post.

  i feel intimidated because i don't really know computers to well and i hope that i don't break any rules.

  i became a jw in 1981. i left in 91. i have so many questions.

  Good strategy?

  so obviously the best way to leave properly is fading, that's a given i would have thought?.

  however i'm in a situation where i'm not sure what to do... i've just left home, nobody bar my parents / gparents know my address.

  at my parents request they asked if i would switch my cards over to the closer kingdom hall.

  Don't go. If an elder takes an interest in looking out for you they have power over you again. You are currently in the perfect position. Do nothing. Think up a good excuse in case your mum starts asking questions. Good luck.

  so i have started down the path of trying to understand evolution, and to get the linear lies that the jws planted in my head out of it.

  i bought an audiobook called "evolution: what the fossils say and why it matters" by donald prothero.

  i heard it recommended on an atheist podcast that i listened to.

  I didn't ask for a definition of consciousness, I said that on previous occasions you have declined to define 'awareness'. Still waiting.

  Rocks are 'aware'? And you can say that with a straight face?

  How does methodological naturalism offer evidence against the idea that awareness is fundamental to matter?

  You cry foul when I say that panpsychism claims that rocks are conscious but you then assert that rocks have 'awareness'.

  From past experience you refuse to define 'awareness'.

  This is how you play tennis without a net.

  there is also little or no empirical evidence that can be offered for the common materialist conception of the world either.

  Apart from absolutely everything that has been discovered since the Enlightenment.

  Favourite New Film

  l recently went to watch green book , which l thought was excellent , it had everything , it took me though the whole range of emotions , from anger to joy , laughing then wanting to cry .

  the quiet dignity of dr shirley mixed with volatile nature of tony lipp and seeing their emerging friendship was wonderful .

  what really shook me was that these attitudes existed in my lifetime , not that long ago .

  Thanks for the recommendation. We will probably go and see Green Book. I totally agree with you about The Favourite. I disliked every single character in the story. It was as interesting as watching paint dry.

  Mary Queen of Scots is worth watching as long as you view it as entertainment rather than history. There are plenty inaccuracies in the plot. I also enjoyed Vice. It is the story of Dick Cheney and his role in the Iraq war.

  For me the best film of the last few years was Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri.

  Diversity is White Genocide

  asia for the asians, africa for the africans, white countries for everybody!.

  everybody says there is this race problem.

  everybody says this race problem will be solved when the third world pours into every white country and only into white countries.. the netherlands and belgium are just as crowded as japan or taiwan, but nobody says japan or taiwan will solve this race problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.. everybody says the final solution to this race problem is for every white country and only white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.. what if i said there was this race problem and this race problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into every black country and only into black countries?.

  Remember The Green Song Books

  then new and improved purple song books that came out in 1966. then there was the brown song book and a even newer one in 2006. .

  thousands of hours wasted singing those stupid songs and their stupid lyrics.. song 106 "watch how we walk and watch we talk.

  i remember inserting different works in the lyrics to relive the boredom.

  there have been a lot of changes since then .. i am healthier, happier, wealthier.

  i have put the jw's well and truly behind me.

  I think the word has less extreme connotations this side of the pond. It is a spectrum.
