  Chance or intelligent design?

  cofty could you answer how the single cell came about by chance?.

  i know the argument for complexity in nature says natural selection over billions of years but this could not explain the complexity of the single cell the building blocks of life?.

  hi everyone i’m not pimi or pimo i’m pima.. i don’t think the gb have everything right but i’m sitting on the fence that maybe they do some things.. if the great trib starts i will jump that side of the fence.. this is a definite little sneaky advantage dodging but even by their own doctrine last min some could come in.. i suspect many are like me.. i spent years in bethel and am very disappointed and disillusioned by it all.. but at the end of the day i love the bible and think it is the word of god and i don’t see any other religion that comes as close to what jesus describes his true followers or who are fulfilling mat 24:14..

  but it no the fossil record shows no evolutionary changes at all .. ancient fossils are no change from same creatures today

  That is literally like claiming there is no evidence the earth revolves around the sun.

  By the way we have an embarrassment of riches in the fossil record demonstrating evolution including humans.

  Even if we had no fossils the most compelling evidence is in the DNA on every one of your trillions of cells.

  It is very easy to prove the fact of evolution through numerous fields of science including paleontology and genetics without getting overly complex.

  You have read zero books on the topic so how do you think you qualify to reach any conclusion?

  Is there really any universal issue of Sovereignty?

  i can agree that satan doesn't see god as a good ruler as stated at gen 3:1-5. he doesn't seem to see gods laws as right or good.

  but whether there is an understanding/agreement between god and satan afterward to the effect that he can take the mantle of rulership to show whether his style is best is doubtful.

  that conclusion is probably reached because god hasn't destroyed satan, and he is also called the ruler of the world in the bible.

  There is no such thing as an 'evolutionist' there are just well informed people who accept the simple fact of biological evolution.

  Just because there is no all-powerful God does not mean life has no purpose.

  As I said the bible does NOT say that the reason for suffering is universal sovereignty. Did you not read KOW's post?

  The bible is a library of books. Different writers offer different theodicies. The oldest one simply rejects the question. See Job.

  The bible doesn't offer an answer to the question of suffering - it offers many and all of them are inadequate.

  The oldest one goes something like - I'm god and you have no right to question me.

  if evolution was true I think it would have been proven by now

  It has been. Thoroughly and totally proven beyond all sensible doubt. Every living thing descended from a common ancestor over millions of years. This is as certain as the fact that the earth is not flat.

  Would you like me to suggest a reading list? It's clear from your comments above - missing links and monkeys- that you have never read a science book on this topic ever. Neither had I until after I left the cult
