was just wondering how many gay exjw's were on this site, and how did you deal with being in this organization?

and also, how did you end up leaving?.

I am also gay and ex-JW. Never felt better after fading away. It's incredible lonely being a gay JW and often you are made to feel that you are the only one out there but in reality, they are many. I hope that many who are still involved in the JW world will come to know that there is a better life where you can be free to be yourself and not told anything else like suppress your feelings or you have to change. Good to hear from others in this forum.

Hi Atlantis, This must have been a shock for him to get caught. Please send all our love and thoughts to him. This must be hard for him to deal with right now. Please say thanks for all his brave work in getting all the BOE's out and exposing the WT for what it does to people in the long run.

Jamaican Branch Office Closing

i'm from jamaica, montego bay to be exact.

if there are other jamaicans here, feel free to let me know.. with that said, it was announced at our last meeting (a letter was read) that the branch office (bethel) in kingston would be closing, and affairs would soon be directed from us hq.

now the branch office here is a large compound built on acres of prime real estate.

NEW UK BETHEL - START SAVING

a letter was read tonight at the meeting with this information.. apparently, three years ago the gb authorised the uk bethel to consolidate all the uk resources.

so far over 300 sites have been looked at but more information will be forthcoming.. in the meantime we can work to this end by saving so that we can contribute to the new facility.. also skilled and unskilled trades people can register for volunteer work, collect an application form from the secretary.. to me it seems like they are going to move out of london (mill hill, bittacy hill etc), get a cheaper area, pay for the new facility with donations and free labour.

they will then sell all the high value property and probably send the money to the us.

The last time this happened was after the incident of 9/11 in NYC and I remember well an announcement in one of the KM's that stated the GB has decided not to proceed with plans to relocate the UK Bethel due to the scene of this world had dramatically changed. No direct mention of 9/11 but you could tell by reading between the lines.
