Prince does a Indian hand dance in this song? Starts at around 7.20. I LOVE The Carpenters. Don't even get me started!

You made me remember Redbone when you said that you were Native American. Robbie reminds me of Marvin Gaye at times.

HDMI Cables - Don't get ripped off
by RubaDub inwhen you buy a blu ray player or other hd devices, you will need to purchase a cable to connect it to your tv (or however your system is configured).. salespeople will typically try to sell you a "monster" cable or some high priced product.
when buying my blu ray player for $79, they tried to sell me a cable for $59.. beware!
with digital signals, you either get the signal or you don't.

I read *some* of the instructions, which said that the HDMI "is best" because its "digital". The AV cable/cord is "analog", which is "better" (than a composite system) with a component type TV system. The AV cord is the least sharp with a "composite" set-up type TV.
I'm trying to figure out if a blu ray system is not a blu ray system when using analog cables/cords? And if not, why do they put the darn AV cords in the darn box? The makers should put a proper HDMI cable in the box and charge the right price for it.
Oh well, I did get an HDMI cord as was suggested.

I got a question? Do you still have to hook-up the red, white, and yellow AV cable that comes with the player if you have a HDMI cable? Or is it one or the other? Or both? IDK?

I accidentally picked up a Blue Ray video at Target the other day. We put it in the XBox player and wondered why it wouldn't play. I washed the video with soap and water and tried it again. It still didn't work. So, I put it in the DVD player and it didn't play. My daughter then noticed that it was a Blue Ray video. So, today, I sent her to Walmart to get a Blue Ray player; and as many of you said "they don't have the cheaper HDMI cables". The cables that they do have cost about $38 bucks.
Thanks for bringing up the topic about the cable because I didn't have a clue that we'd need it. My daughter would of been severely pissed if she'd have to go back out to get the cable in this terrible cold, icy, sleety weather.

How do active JW's spend their Christmas? What do they feel?
by dgp inhello to all.
maybe this is a stupid question, since jw's don't celebrate christmas, but, as jw's, how did you spend your christmas?
what did you feel when everyone else was celebrating?

Most of the time, I didn't even know that it was Christmas. Once, I went to the mall and wondered why the stores were closed. Other times, my mother (She wasn't a witness.), would call and invite me to a family gathering and then I knew it was Christmas. Sometimes, I would go to the family gatherings; but most of the time, I didn't.
I, always, bought gifts for the children after Christmas; so if the kids at school asked them what they got for Christmas, they could say "We don't celebrate Christmas...but we got the latest greatest 'Xmas' electronic game (or what have you) for school break".

This is my tenth post so I'm going to put three songs in here. Two are from people in my "True Blood Lover's" group; so if you don't like the HBO series, you may not want to watch it; but you can still listen to it.
Good night.
