my father says this alot.. also a witness. I often ask him WHY he think he has a demon after him. He never answers. Says he doesn't hear voices or anything. I don't nkow. But I worry. Is it me or are most witness a bit wacked in the head?

by dissed insome of you may have remembered me describing my wife's sister having serious mental problems.. its been a source of great discouragement to the entire family because her husband (a devout jw) has refused to get her help.
in fact, blaming it all on the demons, and we being the ones who introduced them, because of our leaving the wt.
well, to everyons surprise on friday, they came to a family dinner, this is very rare.

by Confuzzled ini am considering getting couples counseling for the jw boyfriend and i. he's open to it.
he got help himself for an issue recently, but it was in the short term, and it went well for him.
i want to know if we started going regularly, and his mentor got wind of it, what are the jw views on mental health help?

HAHAHA I always did slight of hand tricks. Once I was out in door to door, and actually got into a really good discussion with someone. I was trying to prove some lame point about how satan can trick us and blind us to what is really happening. I saw they had a can of soda in a in a cooler. So I did the quater through soda can trick. Well I sold my point..and my door to door partner about had a stroke. It went as far as to meet with an elder..adn SHOW HIM THE TRICK..UGH then got a lecture that we don't do magic. I EXPLAINED that the proper term is Illusionist these days. Hence it's an ILLUSION AKA not real. The whole thing is REALLY funny now, but I remember being REALLY ticked at the time.

Thanks Blondie! as a fader who has their last meeting Sunday. I appreciate your work.. and find it useful when I talk to the family that is still in to TRY and get them to reason on some stuff. THey seem to have blinders on..

the numbers are highier now cause they reduced the hours it takes to be a pioneer. I know people who were already getting the aux pio hours or the regular pio hours a month so when they lowered the hourly requirement they signed up. This made it look like they have more pioneers but in reality is pretty much the same ol same ol

Yeah I love it how they then say what they say isn't inspired, and not infallable. But if you don't uphold their teaching up til death and beyond they will shun you and disown you. Unless they change their mine on said teaching, in which cause you won't be apologized to. Because you were still wrong at the time, because the old light pointed to them being right, this was before it changed color and direction. In which case it is completly different light, new light, so you're still wrong.

I sooo love everytime the ransom comes up, all credit for it goes to God... It's pathetic. It snowed her and I didn't go, soo happy. My parents are kicking me out cause they found out I'm "out". So I'm doing the move away fade. Yet in the congregations eyes I'll be the horrible person just cause I'm trying to be HAPPY.. Made it in the congregation 30 some years..and have no money for retirement. And not full time job, always was forced to work part time to "seek kingdom interests" AKA WTS interests. I still can't beleive I wasted my life.
