How long until the WT Society gives "new light" about the Internet?
by DagothUr inthe watchtower and awake have given some warnings in the past concerning materials available via the internet.
apostate and porn sites, violent games, useless and frivolous entertainment, and so on.
for now, they are contended with just giving friendly warnings.

Sue? Umm... maybe. The WBTS recently got it's panties in a knot and started shutting down some apostate websites, apparently for copyright infringement. But slander? I don't think so.

I knew some sister that corrected some other sister when she said "Damn it" after she spilled her coffee. It's kinda sad when you're an adult and like the poster above mentioned say KAH KAH. Swearing sure is bad language but like everything there is correct places to use it. Real people dont talk like Ned Flanders lol

Ground Zero Mosque
by minimus indo you agree that there should not be a mosque in the area that was wiped out by muslim extremists?
on the view, it was discussed with bill o'reilly and the ladies of the view.
joy behar and whoopie flipped because bill said "muslims" were responsible for the carnage there and it would not be appropriate for a mosque in that area.. what do you think?.

@beksbks I worked with a number of muslims over the years. They are nice friendly people. But one day I had some guy talking to me at work calling the Taliban.. "freedom fighters" And you're right. There are only a small number of radicals. But they have a huge fanbase. You might not be a player of a certain sport, but that doesn't mean you can't be a fan of it.

Imagine we're living in the time of WW2. What would people do if a Shinto Shrine gets built a block away from Pearl Harbor. There would be protests and anger etc. And if it gets built it definitely without question be vandalized and eventually burnt down.
The same applies to ground zero. Its not appropriate for any Islam related to be built there. There are hundreds of places they can build it. But they want it there even with the incredible amount of objection. They are doing it to spit in the face of the American people and you can be sure of it that the vandalism will take place if it gets build, during the construction and after. And I'm sure that the NYC firefighters won't be in any rush to help out if anything happens. -

Our Kingdom Ministry 2009 tells sick & infirm NOT to view telephone hook-up as convenient alternative to being personally present at KH!
by LUKEWARM ini am feeling sick after reading the question box - it's so cold and unfeeling toward those who use the telephone to listen to congregation meetings.. .
the wts desire to control their weakest members - the infirm and chronically ill - by guilting them into "putting forth the effort to be personally present " at the kingdom hall is disgusting.. .
they are heartless bastards.... ________________________________________.

New DVD about WTS history: no generation too
by Gorbatchov ini watched the new dvd earlier this week and the speaker at the convention did his presentation about the new understanding of the generation bla bla bla and the overlap of the generation bla bla bla and then presented the new dvd.
but also on the new dvd the overlap and even "the generation" is not mentioned at all.. the dvd is missing very much information and gives disinformation.
my family asked in a choir "was russell not married" when we watched the dvd.. i told them that he was divorced (...).

It's strange and suprising that they show the chart of the ages a number of times in the video as well. Never knew it was such a big thing at the time.

The Organ Transplant Doctrine
by Sharpie ini read this page http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/medical.php about old light about organ transplants..anyways so here is the timeline in short after reading that page.. organ transplants acceptable in 1961.
...it does not seem that any scriptural principle or law is involved.
it therefore is something that each individual must decide for himself.

I read this page http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/medical.php about old light about organ transplants..Anyways so here is the timeline in short after reading that page.
Organ transplants Acceptable in 1961
...it does not seem that any Scriptural principle or law is involved. It therefore is something that each individual must decide for himself." Watchtower 1961 August 1 p.480 Questions from Readers
Organ transplants unacceptable in 1967
"Sustaining one's life by means of the body or part of the body of another human...would be cannibalism, a practice abhorrent to all civilized people… It is not our place to decide whether such operations are advisable from a scientific or medical standpoint… Christians who have been enlightened by God's Word do not need to make these decisions based simply on the basis of personal whim or emotion. They can consider the divine principles and use these in making personal decisions as they look to God for direction, trusting him and putting their confidence in the future that he has in store for those who love him" Watchtower 1967 November 15 pp.702-704
Organ transplants still unacceptable in 1975 for some preposterous reason. The oddest one yet. Hell, cannibalism made more sense then this
"A peculiar factor sometimes noted is a so-called 'personality transplant.' That is, the recipient in some cases has seemed to adopt certain personality factors of the person from whom the organ came." Watchtower 1975 September 1 p.519
Organ transplants now acceptable in 1980
"There is no Biblical command pointedly forbidding the taking in of other human tissue…. It is a matter for personal decision…" Watchtower March 15, 1980, p 31
So in summary a total 13 years in which Jehovah Witnesses lost their lives for a wrong, laughable and down right stupid reason. All I'm looking for is lawsuits during because of this doctrine. There had to be some uprising, not from the brainless pawns but from family members who lost loved ones during this period. Any help finding news artistically would be much appreciated. Thanks
