  Jesus as Mediator

  i was stunned when i read that according to jws jesus is not the mediator to all those baptized and this is not available to all mankind although the benefit of his position as mediator is.

  they believe that only the annointed with the heavenly hope have jesus as their mediator.. i cannot understand why they tell all jws that they must pray through jesus christ.

  if he is not the 'great crowds' mediator then wouldn't it be wrong the pray through jesus?

  This scripture just came up in last week's study on the ransom:

  1 Timothy 2:5-6 (New International Version)

  5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time.

  It was explained that Jesus is the ransom for all of us. But he is only the Mediator for the Faithful and Discreet Slave. WTF? (The F stands for Flock, not a swear word...)

  i was told that at the 2010 annual meeting, jws were asked to pray for the governing body to remain(?

  ) discreet and make wise decisions.. please include this in your prayers..

  Don't you mean that they requested that the "Brothers" pray to the Governing Body?

  Not yet. Currently we folow Jesus by following the Governing Body, and we are the F&DS' friends since Jesus is only the mediator for them. The great crowd is still allowed to pray through Jesus' name to Jehovah.

  There's also an interesting point in the talk where, after discussing the Finished Mystery he said (and I paraphrase to the best of my recollection): That was not the truth, Nothing up to that point was the truth.
