  An excerpt from "Releasing the Bonds" (Steven Hassan), pg 325, that is good to keep in mind:

  Overcome Black-and-White, All-or-Nothing

  If you observe your loved one exhibiting cult thinking, such as making black-and-white, all-or-nothing statements, gently point it out to him. It takes time for former memberts to realize that the world has "grays" and a full spectrum of color! Gently point out other possibilities if you see the ex-member looking for another set of absolute answers to fill the void created by their membership.

  the nite before i was reading and researching the nephilim.. more proof to disclaim the flood.

  Are Golden Age Complete Sets available for 1925-1931?

  wtarchives has the golden age for 1919-1924. research applications has 1932-1937. does anyone know if complete sets are available for 1925-1931?.

  Money well spent IMHO. It is settling to the mind to verify the "apostates" quotes and to show others information directly from the pulication instead of from an "apostate" website.

  i know some of you here are stil in kingdom hall.

  i am looking for an article in watchtower ( it was a study article) about 5 month ago where they said that we are not to hold hands with our loved ones during prayer time.

  Contraceptive question

  ok, this matter has troubled me for some time now.

  jw aren't allowed to use the morning after pill, since it can cause an early abortion.

  principle of sanctity of life comes to mind.. what about the regular pill?

  I believe the "C" method of prevention was brought to the Watchtower's attention after it was published that the pill is a consious matter. They did not see any reason to change their stance after the fact I suppose.
