Would YOU Stop Wearing Cologne Or Perfume At A KH If Someone Had Allergies?
by minimus inwe had a few that would start coughing if someone wore a fragrance.
they would make a big deal about anyone wearing cologne and say such ones were not loving and considerate.
some elders would recommend that witnesses should not wear any cologne or perfume, if they loved their brother or sister.

Conventions/Assemblies in England
by ScottyRex indoes anyone remember haysbridge, crystal palace, twickenham, dorking from the 80's/90's.........so many memories there.
the 5p lunch vouchers, the aroma of bacon rolls and hot doughnuts at twickenham, the smell of coffee as 50,000 odd opened their thermos flasks at lunchtime.
walking around endless laps of the perimeter of the stadium at break times, watching the airplanes flying low over twickenham stadium en route to heathrow.. cinema style seats at dorking assembly hall, the baptismal pool built into the stage, flapping my hands in the water and getting told off.

Been a while since I did this......so here goes.....
Does anyone remember Haysbridge, Crystal Palace, Twickenham, Dorking from the 80's/90's.........so many memories there. Cinema style seats at Dorking Assembly Hall, the baptismal pool built into the stage, flapping my hands in the water and getting told off. DAH being bulldozed and turned into an NCP carpark. We then moved to a great building called Haysbridge in Surrey. A big Watchtower on the roof! Fantastic meals at lunchtime........ Everything seemed alright in them days with my rose coloured glasses on..........lol.
Would love to hear from anyone who too remembers this...........

Your worst field service experience.
by littlebird inmy worst field service experience was this.. i didn't have a car at the time and so a pioneer sister was picking me up of service every couple of days.
she was my partner and i got a door where the woman was clearly not interested.
as i am stepping away the pioneer sister starts in with all the objection stoppers.

I think knocking on the door of my primary school teacher, Mrs thorne...........god she hated the witnesses and made my life hell at school. I was only 9 at the time FGS!!!. I was 19 when I knocked at her door, so I just said hello, I guess you're not interested.........she just looked and slammed the door. Wish I could have thought of something cutting to say.........Mrs Thorne.............erghhhhhh.

nothing much to tell oompa, got promoted at work, bought a house, bought a dog (!) got engaged, erm..........good relationship with my JW mum still. Used to post here regularly around 2002-2006. Was always the JW apologetic, do rememberr a few names, BigTex, Nina, Minimus, Blondie, ........ used to be a bit fiery and knobby (lol) have mellowed a bit now!!
