As the question was levelled at Christians and Non-Christians you must allow for different interpretations of love and not rely completely on scriptural reasoning.
It’s not a pop quiz with only one right answer and gold star for teachers pet. My pagan leanings tell me that hate can be part of love and that all emotions both good and bad stem from the supreme emotion of love either by a lack or excess. For example white light is similar to love being made up of a wide spectrum of different colours as love is made from a wide spectrum of emotions.
There seems to be a lot of JW thinking still here, let yourself and your minds be free and open.

God we are lead to believe is the personification of love, but is still capable of hate. So is it really possible to be love and feel hate at the same time?
YES
Hate does not equal evil in fact it could be argued that hate is actually a facet of love. For example someone can be motivated by love to acts of hate e.g. the killing of a love rival or even war to defend the country they love.
Perhaps in truth we need to look again at what we understand and mean by the term love. It is I think more complex than we realise full of extremes of emotion both good and bad.

who had a child molester in their congregation ?
by looloo ini have done this thread a long time ago , but a few newbies have joined recently and may have had some experiances to share , there was 2 in the congregation i was involved with (i was a "study" ) one was from bethel in america and got deported after his prison sentence and the other was reprooved for abuse then carried on abusing in the congregation , years later he abused my daughter and after i found out i reported him to the police , but he had got off "scot free" for 20 years untill i reported him .
i believe the one from bethel was reported to the police simply because elders kids were affected ..

In my first cong a father was abusing his kids and went to prison. In my second cong a different father was abusing his daughter he later committed suicide rather than being exposed.
As well as this we also had two sexual predators that preyed on young sisters.
I think the society protects and by their lack of action encourage these sickos and as such no cong is safe.
If you have kids and are still attending JW meetings keep this in mind and protect your children trust no one!!!!

My Dad Died Today
by cantleave inhe has been ill for some time, but it was still unexpected.
he was never a jw and i didn't really have a close relationship with him, since he remarried after my parents divorced.
i reunited with him in the mid 90's after over 10 years of not seeing him.. .

i am so glad i wasn't raised in the "truth".
my very zealous wife who was raised in the "truth" found a worldly boyfriend and swore nothing ever happened.
