The Dublin "apostasy" after Ray Franz incident - searching for the audio testimony of John May
by Nostromo ingoogle is not my friend anymore, it seems, i cant find a thing.. i was searching for the audio file where john may, the elder from dublin, tells his story when he traveled to brooklyn to find out the truth about the ray franz incident.
i do not mean the talk of his that you can find on 4jehovah.org or 4witness.org, this was a different audio testimony where he just basically tells what happened to him and to his irish elder friend merriman when they wanted to discuss the rf issue with the gb.
i had this file once but cant find it anymore.

It's funny the things you find out about the young ones in the cong..isn't it?? There are so many stories, and i mean TRUE stories. It baffles the mind as to how they get away with it for so long. One of the young guys in my old cong, well actually 2 of them at different times were sending nude photos of their genitalia to young girls, who weren't witnesses. I heard nearly all of the young couples had had sex before marriage too. Thing is that these are elders' kids mostly surprise surprise! They all seem to get drunk regularly, and most are either pioneers or MSes or whatever. I just heard that there is a new paedophile investigation going on in Athlone cong against a bro who molested a 5 year old and then threatened him he wouldn't see his mother again if he told her. He eventually told an elder who told the mum, but she has been tarred and feathered as usual JW custom here, and her family aren't talking to her... after all this bro is well liked. I would just love for something big to blow the whole thing apart. Something worldwide. Any news as to whether there's any truth to reports of IRS closing in on GB in USA? Lots of things going on here in Ireland but no one talking....

wouldn't it be great if lots wrote to papers all over the world with the same message...the consequence would be interesting...good work though Maeve..I felt like I knew him, after reading his book COC and his words finally liberated me from imprisonment and a false life. I wish he were still alive so I could thank him. I wish a TV producer would do a documentary on his life and help others like me to rid themselves of a high control group.

by Ilovebirthdays inyesterday, i brought a batch of cupcakes to my son's school.
in passing them out, i started to give one to one of the children, who was a jw.
he immediately started freaking out and screaming "no thank you" over and over.

"The End is Closer Than You Think" came up at a party.
by RubaDub inwe were at a party (get-together in jw speak) and somehow the ones i was talking with changed the subject to a talk given by the co that "the end is closer than we think.".
i just sheepishly asked the group ... "i don't understand that phrase, "the end is closer than we think.
" i said my parents told me i would never go to school, then later that i would never graduate from high school, and that i would never get married.. then i mentioned my parents were expecting the end to be in 1975 ... my grandparents were expecting the end numerous times in the 1920's and 1930's.. so i very nicely asked, "isn't is more correct to say "the end is farther than we think?

An elderly bro in my old cong said he was sick of waiting for the end..he's now nearly 90 and was baptized during his time in Burma, during the war. But he can't say that to everyone, which is sad. Even the prophets questioned why so long...I'm just glad I'm out and now SANE again. I have alot of catching up to do with life, as do my girls. Rubadub...love the post.LOL
