I gave you the example of ego eimi = I am. I said that the Watchtower intentionally changed that [see John 20;28] to change what Christ Jesus had truely said.

With your 40 years of intense studying of different translations and the bibles background perhaps you can add some light. Instead of making fun of IamIamIam, why not educate me on how 'I have been' can be translated from 'ego eimi'.

I find it quite sad that not only do some of these people ignore scriptures, they actually deny them, and then have the gall to throw other scriptures [out oif context] in your face. I really feel terrible about those facts.

MJW indicated that there are no capitals in scripture. Explain this from the NWT - Wonderful Counselor [Who else is refered to as Wonderful Couselor?], Mighty God [who else is refered to as Mighty God?], Eternal Father [Who else is refered to as Eternal Father?]

I Am is how God answered Moses when he asked 'who should I say told me these things' God asnwered 'tell them I am sent you' Sorry if that doesn't fly with you, but that's what scripture says....speaking of scripture, here's another that Watchtower adherents will ignore. This is strait from the NWT

too bad, he and all should embrace our Lord and Savior. He certainly has no 40 years experience interpreting scripture. That much is quite obvious....not trying to dig at you MJW, but be honest with this board and yourself. If you are true, people will want to listen to truth.

Mad JW- Are you familair with the scripture that says 'always learning, but never getting accurate knowledge'? The obvious answer to your question is answered by the fact that no other organization or school of theology recognizes the NWT as an accurate, scholarly, untampered interpretation.

I don't want to get to technical here, cause folks won't read things that are too lengthy, so let me just pick one example ..ok?

ego eimi = I am. That is first week of Greek school you learn that. I am, I will, he is, she is, he will, she will, etc etc. John chap8:verse58 correctly translated has Jesus quoted 'before Abraham came to be, I AM' The Watchtower NWT changes the scripture to read 'before Abraham came into existence, I have been'

That is a change by the Watchtower to cover up Jesus's use of the 'I AM' title used by God in Exodus 3:14. In the Greek Septuagint the Watchtower interprets ego eimi as I am in Exodus 3 :14. In the gospel of John, the Watchtower interprets ego eimi as 'I am 'everytime except John 3;16.

Pretty clear cut and dry, don't cha think? You're a thinker, right?

Is there REALLY a God? Or is it just the Imagination?

Good questions MJW! That's where faith comes in, right?

Personally, I'm a Christian, so I believe in God. I have a conscience and an awareness that no other [visible] creature on earth has.

I have also had very personal experiences that have confirmed that fact to me. Others, I imagine, have had the same.

while in the waiting room, i saw a watchtower brochure, so i picked it up, and put it in my pocket, so no one could read this trash.. when i got home, i looked it over for any good tidbits, and discovered a "quote" from the w.t.

Topic - Soul

Soul = nephesh in Hebrew and Soul = psuche` in Greek. These 2 words appear some 900 times in the course of the old and new testaments. They have quite a wide range of meanings throughout the bible. Only someone in a cult could believe that you could sum up the soul in one bible verse......hello Eccl 9;5
