  With two questions, i recieved two lies from some cart witnesses.

  today i walked up to a group of cart witnesses and picked up a watchtower.

  i opened the watchtower up to the first page , and asked one of the witnesses if he had read it.. lie # 1... he said he read it.. i ask my second question to a woman witness sitting next to him , who by the way was hard to tear away from her cell phone..... "whats this watchtower about?

  , "........ lie # 2 ... she said she read it , but forgot "exactly" what the main points were about..

  What are the Witnesses Afraid Of ?

  if the witnesses have the truth and have been going to meetings for many years and every week they learn how to be effective in the ministry and learn about the bible on sundays and every week have a family worship night, why are they afraid to talk to anyone who doesn't agree with them or question their beliefs?

  if they have the truth then nothing can refute it.

  A little St Patrick's day truth.

  St Patrick was Scottish. He was kidnapped by Irish raiders and taken to Ireland as a slave.

  He escaped after several years and became a catholic priest. Later he became a bishop and the church sent him back to Ireland to convert the pagans.

  That is a great questions Sour.

  I once heard a man say that this exact thing helped him to wake up after someone asked him that question while he was out on service. You never know what question or issue will help wake someone up. I am learning that the most innocent questions spoken in an innocent manner is often the best route. You have to disarm people in a manner of speaking.

  How many of you still believe in God or are still Christians?

  hello, i asked a new but old friend how many people are still christians after leaving the watchtower's mind control agency, for statistical purposes do you mind if i do a survey and see how many of you are believers?.

  please don't post if your not a believer out of respect for this poll, we need to sharpen each other's sword and help build each other up and meet new friends over the internet with faith in god or some other force of the universe.

  i asked another person how we can still manage our faith after getting burned by the high group mind control, he had a few ideas but he's not really involved with god because of how life burned him.

  Personally I am a revert. Was raised catholic and when my JW brother converted he spoke of all the evils of the Church. I left the catholic church without getting answers to questions that were brought up. A few years later after another sibling visited Medjugorje I felt the desire to find some answers to these questions. The answers are there. You just don't look for answers from a place that hates. Find answers from those that love. What I mean is that if I want to find out about anything. The best source is from people who love the topic, not from people who hate the topic.

  So I started asking questions about catholics from priests, nuns, lay people [converts/reverts] etc.

  I also started asking questions about WTS teachings from my elder brother and many of his peers and other elders that my brother referred to me.

  After researching it was easy to see what made sense and what didn't fit.

  Lying for the truth was the biggest thing to me that led me to believe that JWs will say ANYTHING to further their membership drive. Truth means nothing. I mean real truth.

  he first called it 'lying for the truth' then he tried to tone it down to theocratic warfare.

  he justifies this position by citing the scriptures that say do not throw pearls to the swine for they will trample them under foot and tear you to pieces.. my question is .

  Thank you all. PeteZ, Abraham stating that Sarah was his sister was a big mistake wasn't it? Even the evil king asked why he would do such an evil thing. That was my understanding of it as I read it.
