Really, with it's dishonesty ingrained in it's doctrine, it seems like the JW leadership has a deep seated hatred for it's own flock

Watchtower Convicts Itself - Quotes
by Sea Breeze inthis short video contains a few quotes from the wt that may help loved ones wake up a bit.
i thought it was pretty well done.
i wish the title wasn't so "in your face", but rather eased into it a bit more discreetly.

By What Authority Do you Teach?
by Vanderhoven7 ini am in earnest.
i will not excuse; i will not equivocate;.
i will not retreat a single inch.

Authority- it is real, but overlooked and not scrutinized in reality.
The bible is Catholic book. It was always a Catholic book and only a small part of the Catholic faith. It was specifically developed for use in their liturgy.
It was not ever intended as a guide to Christianity as the cannon of the bible was not fully accepted/confirmed until the late 4th century [around 382ad].
The Catholic church created and protected it though the centuries. How could anyone else say that they have a better or more valid authority on interpreting the bible?
If there is no authority [other than a 'self appointment'], then you will be likely be mislead.
Interesting [to me] that relics, candles, incense, sacraments and prayers from the Catholic Church are ridiculed, but their scriptures are honored in word, but not in deed.
Authority. Who has it?

JW.org Focus on the Past - Have Always Wondered?
by JWTom injust curious of others thoughts.....while watching the latest round of convention videos with my pimi wife it was highlighted again in the content how much the wt org.
has always focused on the past (in my opinion).
many of the historical events that are highlighted as significant are from 100+ years ago in some cases.

the end was supposed to happen 45 years ago in 1975
No it wasn't. They only told people it was supposed to happen. Much like THEY did a dozen other times....
They're not interested in THEIR history.

JW Stumper Questions - List You Best Here
by pale.emperor inhi guys.
sooner or later we're going to get a jw knocking on our door.
just like when we were jw's doing the knocking, it's good to have a question prepared to get them thinking about their own beliefs.

Why did you make a religion out of a Catholic book?
Why would I consider the WTS interpretation of a Catholic book?
Is there anyone else who has more authority of this Catholic book than the WTS?. .I dunno, maybe the people who produced, propagated and protected it through the centuries....

What does the ( tm ) mean in some of the questions posted on here?
TM means "trademark" . When the WTS or one of it's members refer to the their organization as 'The Truth', it is usually followed by a TM. Not because the WTS is actually truthful, but only to denote that the WTS refers to itself as 'the truth' tm. Meaning that lying and the truth [tm] can go hand in hand.... I am, of course, referring to 'theocratic warfare' tm

Tony Morris was right
by wolverines ini have no love loss for the gb or religion and this is not an apologist attempt.
in fact i hate the religion and the gb.
but i watch night after night young kids who's minds have been corrupted by the propaganda and dogma that modern college's are teaching them.

I agree that the US is largely moving towards socialism more and more. And Tony Morris may make a talking point or two.
That said, only a completely brainwashed person would choose ignorance over an education..
Not being harsh, just a matter of fact..
The social and moral values that your children have, are learned in their household more than any school.
That is provided that parents are engaged in the education, correction and nurturing of their offspring, obviously, the more the better.
Of course, not everyone gets that, do they?

What's Wrong with the Watchtower?
by Vanderhoven7 innot sure who wrote this list a while back but i think it is worth a repeat....to be added to or subtracted from or modified...whatever.. what's wrong with the watchtower.
"overlapping generations" - this teaching makes no sense.
the word used by jesus is in the singular, not plural form.. .

Taking a catholic book, the bible, and thinking and telling everyone that they know the book better than anyone [including the people who produced it] AND then starting a religion based on that same catholic book.

The Characterization of most Jehovah's Witnesses
by Mr.Finkelstein inafter years of being with jws you start to see a certain developmental characterization of most jws, particularly from elders who have the most power in each congregation.
.
the ideology follows along the route of holding up a white sheet over the entire organization, as well each identified individual member (brothers and sisters) which no doubt most jws will inevitably exploit toward themselves.. i personally recognized what hypocrisy was at young age from seeing and being around jws at the kingdom halls and what they were like away from the halls.. there is forced pretentiousness at play which comes out by jws.. having being reminded repetitively that god almighty sent his only begotten son to redeem their sins probably had some relevant connection.. there was no question to the fact that jws are associated with delusions, anxiety, fear, ignorance, subsided with prejudice against others who are not recognized as being active jws .. we are the most righteous chosen ones as it were and that self recognizance goes deep into the jws's consciousness in their daily living.
