by stuckinarut2 ini often wonder if the current crop of witnesses, especially the youth and younger ones simply don't care about facts?.
i mean for some, even with knowledge of the past scandals, misleading teachings, mistruths, etc etc, they simply don't care.
"it is the truth after all".. they are so intertwined in the operations and activities of the society, that they cant see anything outside of it.

Some St Patrick facts.
He was really Scottish [some sources will say British]
He was kidnapped [when a child] by Irish raiders who took him back to Ireland and forced him into slavery.
He escaped years later and made it home and then went to Rome and became a priest and later was sent to Ireland as a bishop to convert the isle from paganism.
He is a saint for converting the Irish to Christianity [Catholicism specifically] AND there were never any snakes in Ireland.

Unless a JW can perspnally verify a given fact, it all comes down to a choice of who to believe: Jehovah or Satan?
Umm, that is just sad, because the bible [that JWs say they follow more than anyone else] is filled with facts that are written down and are very easy to confirm that go completely against JW beliefs.
Who to believe, Jehovah or Satan?! Give me a break.

by charity7 inis this a slogan that was recently come up with for jw's?
i've seen it used as a hashtag on instagram for jw's, key chains, cakes, about me biography description... the first thing i thought was, isn't that a little pretentious?
they complain so much about this life.

my question is do catholic church despise jw as much as the witnesses despise the catholic faith?.

Steel, I agree.
When I read the Watchtower and Awake mags I am amazed at the amount of print used to dump on other faiths. Not only that, but how little print they put in explaining their own faith. Not a lot of reasoning to put theirs into prospective.
That always led me to speculate the reason is because they have such little reasons for their beliefs, but they put it out to their cong full force.
My brother and his family think that they will not die....weird

One's religious upbringing does not make one a nice person.
Only the examples that people have growing up help determine such things.
If you would say that they were pagans and not Christians, they may hold you accountable....
