I have to share these scriptures They all are speaking about Jesus.
by niknak inhe is the image of the invisible god,m the firstborn of all creation;n16 because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, owhether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities.
all other things have been created through himp and for him.17 also, he is before all other things,q and by means of him all other things were made to exist, .
the scriptures above are in nwt bible and are found in colossians 1:15-17. now take note of the following scriptures found in john 1:1-5.

Why doesn't the Watchtower Society never study the Bible cover to cover?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inin the 40 years as a jehovah's witness, i never read the bible cover to cover.
the three meetings a week were broken up with book studies, awake and watchtower magazines, and ministry& field service meetings, all written by the watchtower society.
never did we read any chapters from genesis to revelation and discuss the true meaning of what we just read.

Simple answer is because the bible doesn't make sense. It's not reasonable, logical, nor believable.
when interpreted by the WTS

I remember their booklet "Should You Believe In The Trinity" , It sounded very scholarly and convincing as it listed many of the early church fathers, those even taught by the apostles themselves, and how they never considered Jesus equal to God. Then as people read these church fathers, people realized that the WTS's Should you Believe Booklet was a crock of BS. A publication of distortion trying to convince people that it has authority on Christian matters.
What, I wonder, ever became of that published booklet ?

NWT Being the Most Accurate
by VIII ini was going through my old files and came upon an email between some family that i was privy to.
it is about the nwt bible and alex trebek asking what is the most accurate bible, etc.
i am copying and pasting this (for nathan natas...) so he will have so fun data to carry with him with that jw bible as he goes door-to-door.

Accuracy in the NWT is a myth.
It's translation is rendered inaccurate in the first chapter in Genesis
Translated as 'God's active force'?
I don't think so.....

Mark 7:6-9 about Tradition
by Secreetly inwhen i asked my jw relatives about why they are the chosen one, she said one of the reasons can be found in mark 7:6-9. jw’s stand firm in rejecting all man made traditions including christmas, halloweenc and birthdays whereas no other religion does so.
.
what are your opinions about this?

Because the bible is a Catholic book, they would be the ones to tell you what it means. They put it together, they protected it through the centuries, they use it in their liturgy, it's their book. Why would anyone care what a JW thinks about the bible? They have no authority in it at all. None
The WTS is just another 19th century american invention re-branding what was already established.
That's why there's so much new light. Another group of JWs come into power and they interpret the scriptures according to their own ideas instead of what Jesus commanded

What your first realization of hypocrisy in this Religion?
by days of future passed inmy mother became a witness when i was five and i believed that every witness followed what was said at the meetings and the instructions given.
my naive belief carried on until maybe i was 10?
at the old conventions, volunteers would come early and pack fruit into net bags so that it could be sold at lunch.

Are there any JW songs that you HATE?
by neat blue dog inyou're probably thinking 'all of them', and it's true that the songbook is riddled with wrong stuff .
but are there any songs in particular that irk your moral sensibilities?.
for me it would be song #26, "you did it for me".

Its been 2000 years now since Jesus Christianity was Established and now today we have 40000 + Christian sects ?
by smiddy3 inemperor constantine might have got the message 17 centuries ago but surely god must by now realize that the mission has failed .?.
surely he should as he has on past experience in the old testament now approach a world leader of either the usa ,england ,russia ,china ,or the united nations or even israel and make his judgement`s known .?.
why has he been so quiet all of these years ?

To say that Jesus and the Apostles started the Jesus Myth Industry is like saying Robin Hood and his Merry Men started the myths about him.
No offense Phizzy, but history does not agree with that.

I have always found it interesting that people have recounted conversations or circumstances in great detail while they were dead somewhere else. Also that the vast majority of these NDE are Christian in nature
