talking with my anionted mum she tells me how worried she is that our lovely cute grandaughter/neice sarah, 9 months, will have her head cut off by jehovahs angel at armagedon.
{my sister is disfellowshiped and i'm inactive former pioneer/servant 10 years} this sickens me.
i told her how jah loves "even the embroy" of an unborn child.
I remember begging my parents to take my then 5 year old daughter to live with them so that she wouldn't have to die at Armageddon with her disfellowshipped mother. They refused. Boy am I glad they did! I love the beautiful, successful individual she has become . . . without the taint of the borg.

It is painful to watch OTWO. We had to put my MIL into a nursing home last month. She will never see her home again.
It's not the watching her deteriorate in the nursing home that's so difficult. It's seeing her anger and bitterness toward her son. She tells everyone that he has stolen all her money and the reason she is in this predicament is his fault. (She fell, broke her hip and refuses to help herself get better.) She has dementia and maybe some of that talk is from the disease but she and my husband have always had a 'difficult' relationship. However seeing his face when she places the blame on him for EVERYthing breaks my heart. Just like you are a good brother, my husband is a good son.
Hang in there. You know who I am so, call me if I can help.

Hi Noonehome and Welcome.
I read your entire post and can definitly relate to your situation. I was you many years ago. However, if you do decide to leave, please know that it gets better over time. You start to live a 'real' life without the carrot of the new system. That is a complete lie.
Get your education and continue to develop your critical thinking skills. Make new friends outside of the organization; really there are great people out there . . . a lot of assholes too but there are people worth knowing. Don't let the society suck the life out of you. You've got decades ahead of you. Enjoy them without the confines of the watchtower society.

i am not a drinker but i hear single malt whiskeys are good.. yesterday at the liquor store, i asked a nice man, who also was looking over the bottle display, if he could tell me which one does he prefer and why.
one of the store clerks, came by, listening, and said she preferred the same bottle.. i bought the one they preferred:.
glenmorangie.
Glenlivet or Langavullin (sp?)
My husband and I went to bar that had a huge collection of single malts. I remember having one that they served in a brandy snifter, it was clear as water and the gave you water on the side. You added a bit and it really opened up the smokey/peat flavor. *sigh*

it's funny, how the bible describes it is far different from those i had spoken with or heard about.
let's all start listing the many different stories.
i'll start.
One woman at a congregation we went to said she awoke saying the words "Abba, Abba". That's how she knew she was 'anointed'.

1) mine, newhart show #2 - when "bob" wakes up and and said he had a dream he was running an inn in new hampshire.
and it is suzzane pleshette next to him.
still can't get it outta my little noggin.
Does anyone remember the final episode of Barney Miller? That one has to go on the list.

july 28, 2012is algebra necessary?by andrew hacker .
a typical american school day finds some six million high school students and two million college freshmen struggling with algebra.
in both high school and college, all too many students are expected to fail.
I dislike algebra and most other math. I took it in high school and charmed my way into a passing C grade. (The teacher liked me, a lot.)
