  For those who accept the concept of "Race"

  --i personally don't, but it appears that many here unhesitatingly do.. for those that do, i'm honestly curious why you do.

  is there a rational basis for the acceptance of the concept of "race" that can be tested?.

  for example, here are eight people from eight ethnic groups.

  Nah, race is horseshit. Now, genetic background for things like sickle cell, tay sachs, etc. is a good thing to keep an eye on. otherwise, who cares?

  Dealing with a 'molested child' in a Judicial matter.

  i'm trying to respect the privacy of this individual, so forgive me if i'm a little too vague in my descriptions.. this for me, was the most emotional and difficult judicial matter that i have ever experienced.

  its been many years since this happened and i'm still troubled, and troubled for this individual.. a young sister had committed fornication and i was chosen to sit on the judicial committee.. the case didn't make sense at first.

  she was a faithful example in the congregation and was very much liked by all.

  Even years later, an apology can mean alot. I would'nt contact her on the phone or anything, but if you can find an address, I'd send a note, it can mean all the difference. But don't make it about you, i.e asking forgiveness, all that bullshit. That ball is in her court. Just apologize. I don't mean to sound like a jerk by saying that, I know you are hurting, that's what we are here for. But her, just an apology.

  My Boyfriend's not a Witness...

  alright, with my last post it should be obvious i'm in conflict...if it's not, then yeah.. my boyfriend is not a witness.

  he understands that witnesses can't marry or date non witnesses.

  but i guess could say we've been stalling...looking for a solution a gray area to that black and white situation...but with time getting as it is...stalling doesn't work anymore.

  Look, I understand that JW's are taught to "overcome objections". It's pounded into our heads. But what if he kept trying to overcome YOUR objections, to, say be intimate before marriage? Over and over, made it a prerequisite to a relationship, marriage, etc.? Would'nt be very nice, would it? Do you see a parallel here?

  I had the same conflicts w/ a high school girlfriend. Jerked her around, etc. She was too smart to get dragged into the religion. I ended up breaking her heart and a few others. Frankly, I'd say quit yanking the poor guy's chain until you get your head straightened out. Doing what you are doing to him no is just plain cruel, mean and shitty. I know, I did it to a few people.
