Once again, the whole discussion is rearing it's ugly head. Why the hardon against Israel? Yes, I know, many on here have problems w/ the state of Israel. I do too, but it's often mixed in w/ judaism. If Israel were a theocracy, i'd understand. Yes, there are religious influences there, as there are here. I'm not a fan of those either, but geez louise, there's other countries where religion IS the state. And used like a club.

by avishai ini'm not surprised @ a lot of the anti-semitic, or borderline anti-semitic statements on this site lately, as the jw's bash the jews almost as bad as the catholics, so that is part of our basic programming being raised jw.
also, if you look at there publications, the "bad jews" i.e.
saducees & pharisees have your typical hooknose, hitlerian "dirty jew" look about them, while jesus & friends usuallly look aryan.

Hell, in NV we used to go to the "bunny ranches" to leave the mags all the time, as most of them live there. At 17, it was sure embarassing.

I'm vegan too. All that means is i hate seeing animals suffer and i love the environment.
Hippies aren't necessarily passive or nonviolent. Neither are Vegans. Neither is a cohesive "movement" or religion. All Vegan means is that you don't eat any animal products, period. Vegans can be violent, environmentally destructive assholes too. And lots of hunters I know are some of the biggest environmentalists around.
Look, I understand what you are trying to say Bluegrass, but to pigeonhole yourself, and then be ashamed because someone happens to share the same diet is pretty silly. Jerks come in all genders, shapes, sizes and colors.

If you feel like it's gonna continue, this worked wonders for me http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinclair_Method. It's 80-90% effective, compared to 5-15 for other methods. Regardless, congrats on one year, and don't beat yourself up. This method I was able to use w/ out shame, withdrawl, hassle, judgement, or having to sit w/ a bunch of people talking about god. by looloo ini was talking to my disfellowshipped friend today , her jw die hard mum is best friends with the sister of the child molester that raped my 13 year old , and abused two others (that we know of )one was abused between 11 to 13 years the other was 13 , my friends mum was tallking about "bad associations" to my friend the day before , my friend said "well you hang around with the family of a paodophile , who still support him and you get your car fixed by him " her answer was "that is just buisness " and its unfair to call him a paedophile , he has done things wrong but that word is a bit strong !!!!!!!!
i was livid , what morons that religion has in it , he is a convicted sex offender ,but thats ok because hes not a paedophile !
