  If God exists.... which church does he attend?

  so we lost our religion and its time for us to decide which religion to switch, i was sincere so i wanted to do his will as i was taught.... so many here still believe in god and christianity.

  so my question for you is.

  what makes you think that christianity is the true religion?

  For me... It was the fact that I never joined a "religion" which made me sign up as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

  I was always taught to avoid labels. That my faith was an active declaration of my following of Jesus Christ as the Son of the Living Almighty God, Jehovah.

  Since he doesn't walk the Earth, some 2000 years on, I conclude that no one group of people can claim to follow him correctly.

  However, if I could turn back time and live in the Middle East... I would sign up immediately, and would be a follower.

  I was NEVER, a Jehovah's Witness in the canned and shelved state.

  The WT has lost its direction, and even changed the dedication vows to suit its Authoritarian, Legalistic and sadlly "Labelled" Status.

  I stand on the sidelines in the "Sin" bin as we Rugby lovers call it.

  i recently wrote an article on the various troubles jehovah's witnesses are facing in russia.

  i try to make the point that, even if you do not support the witnesses (and most don't) you should support freedom of thought, expression and religion.. if you are interested in checking it out, here it is: "snuffing out religious freedom in russia".

  Apathy is the WT greatest threat... It needs individuals like JunkDogYard to sustain its growth. Persecution is the Opium of the WT. And JYD's reasoning falls straight into their arms. Well done JYD... obviously you have never experienced life inside the WT circle.

  Indeed not..Band on the Run: We collect here for Help For Heroes. Many fight because they see the justice of the battle. However,I personally remain opposed to the current warfare in Iraq/Afghanistan.. that is my opinion.

  The immorality of certain War and the greed that rules the economic infracture of the world, proceeds from ungodly people.

  My view is only jaundiced by what I see in the press and see/hear in broadcasts. The millions that starve because I benefit from their slavery.

  That is ungodly.

  Band on the Run: My apologies..we are divided by the same language. It was that little squabble we had back in1776, when America corrupted our pure English language into the drawl that it speaks today (*joking*)

  I simply asked JunkdogYard, which (Army) combats Jesus would wear today to raise the point of Christian (note) Neutrality in war, or not.

  I seem to recall a Nazarene (viewed as local Terrorists at the time), restoring the ear of a soldier, which had been lopped off by his best mate... Peter.

  Perhaps I should rephrase the questin for JYD...

  Which army, if any, would Jesus have fought alongside in the first century?

  And, JYD, by extension, do you deride Early Christians for allowing their families to be run throught in the Arenas, because of that Neutrality?

  Your answer to me was BULLSHIT in its own right!

  Are you writing from a Christian perspective or as a man of this ungodly world?

  JunkYarddog: Thought my question was quite simple really...

  Which combats would Jesus wear if he walked this Earth today?

  My question arises from one of the more positive attributes of JW's in ALL nations. Neutrality is also one of the reasons for banning the JW's in Russia and many of the newly separated Caucasian states.

  Any chance of a calm and reasoned repy JunkYarddog?

  Please don't tell me Jesus would be dressed as an American G.I.!

  JunkYardDog: I see you like to exercise your Freedom of Speech so readily. Tell me: Which combats would Jesus wear if he walked this Earth today?

  Which combats do JW's wear?

  Do you admire their Neutrality or scorn it?

  There are many valid arguments here for an about face in JW doctrine. But, as a whole, do they promote Peace or Hate?

  Ban the Bible... then perhaps ban the JW's.. then see what happens..

  Is the American empire on the brink of collapse?

  historian niall ferguson made some extended remarks recently arguing that the american empire may be closer to the edge than many suppose.. he starts out observing that while the fateful decline of american supremacy is now widely accepted, it is still generally expected that this will be a protracted process.

  after all empires don't fall in a day.

  rome took centuries to crumble did it not?

  I watched the Andrew Marr show on BBC1 here in the U.K. this morning. William Hague gave a VERY diplomatic statment regarding the crisis in Egypt, and the possible effects of massive repercussions in the Middle East.

  The show concluded with a poignant up to date song from a "West Country" folk group. The song was called (If I recall correctly) Arrogance Ignorance and Greed. It was aimed straight at the Economic System, with its continued pandering to the greed of the few and the impact, this year, of Austerity on the Many.

  The "System" as we know it, perpetuated by the so-called "West"... simply cannot sustain itself without a possible IMMINENT collapse. I have to agree with Moshes' comments. Such a change could hit us vitually.... Overnight now.

  Sorry to carp on... but the gold in their vaults and their material possessions could be valueless. (In recent times, look what happened to Zimbabwe.. and also recollect what happened to the Deutsche Mark just prior to the Second World War).

  We live in very interesting times. The US/UK grip on international affairs (Empire??) is about to be busted... I.M.O only

  My Grandmother's Funeral

  today was my grandmother's funeral.

  she had a hard life (which i will not divulge here) and the circumstances of her death weren't much better.

  she was not a jw but because she was my mother's mother she got a jw eulogy (yeah the jw infomercial).

  All compassion to you Josie... this is a tough time.. let us walk it together. Be strong and think of all the positive images of your Grandma, block all the hurt that interferes. That is how I am coping with my own sorrow.

  sadly his mum lost her battle with cancer and passed away sunday.

  sorry buddy.
