I had a transfusion in Nov 2012. When I got to 7.5, they suggested I have a transfusion. I said what else can we do? It's weird, to be faced with the question after all these years of being free of JWism. When I got to 5 they said it was the only thing they could do. At that point I could no longer hold my husbands hand, or lift my head. If I hadn't felt so horrible, I would have felt nothing. Hard to explain. I said sure, whatever. I was the color of chalk. Within moments of beginning the transfusion, I began to feel better. I could literally see the color of my hands changing.

This is not a game. These people are like children, waiting for an "adult" to tell them what to do. Unfortunately that "adult" has ulterior motives.

today's high school students in the usa:.

less than 1/2 of them cannot identify the century when our civil war happened.. one in four thought columbus discovered america sometime after 1750.. one in three cannot name one right enumerated in the bill of rights.. three out of four cannot name the first us president.. two out of three do not know the length of term of a member of the house of representatives.. half cannot find britain on a map.. one out of four cannot find america on a map.. when my oldest daughter, who is now a physician was in 9th grade in this once-great state of california, i asked her about the three branches of our federal government.

she was clueless and told me she would take civics in her junior year in high school.

First please show me where I ever referred to the Federal Government?? Second, we live in a Representative Democracy, a type of Republic. But that is beside the point, because as you can see, I did not capitalize "democracy". I have to hope you know the difference. If not, just ask, I'll explain it.

Nice Jefferson quote. Very Jeffersonian. Note that he wrote that long before we even had our Constitutional Republic and he wrote it for the Virginians. In that context it is idiotic not to agree with what he wrote. In fact, I fully embrace what he wrote.

Now tell me where he even implied that it was the job of a FEDERAL Government (which didn't even exist at the he wrote it) to provide the education for our children. Better yet, tell us all where the FEDERAL government now is or should be soverign over the States or local governments in providing our children with a good education. Just name the article and paragraph in the United States Constitution where they are granted that power, please.

Actually Lincoln and Einstein are both highly questionable additions to this list of "faithful". Einstein self identified as an agnostic, and Lincoln was a skeptic, not to mention a political figure with much to lose if not professing belief.
